Worst book

Wuthering Heights. Had to do it at school for O level. Much preferred 1984, the other book.

Fly Tipping Spots In Lancashire - Koko
Riding A Woolly Mammoth For Beginners - Scarecrow
Drying Your Undies In A Pizza Oven - Sam Lazarus

Wow Wizzard, you just sparked my memory of Comando comics 😄

Three books come to mind:
Catcher in the Rye (I know it's a 'classic' but I found the main character over cynical and self-absorbed)
Robbo (Bryan Robson) - sorry Robbo, loved you as England captain but a really dull book
Kicked into Touch - Fred Eyre (thought it would be about professional football but all I can remember was him building up a stationary business)

As opposed to a mobile business?

On a serious note……..

Mein Kampf - horrible read, but important to understand how racist hatred becomes a manifesto so we know what to look for.

In keeping with the intent of the thread (thanks Lala), anything by Dosteovsky….don’t know how that became so popular.

Have a read - you might be surprised

I only read sports books Ted.

I just don't give fiction a chance, apologies for going down the childish route but I wasn't being overly serious.

I should maybe read Harry Potter books instead of punting, it would probably save me a fortune.

The Bible... one of the most important books in the world ??? I suppose you have a point, but not what you think it is.
The Bible has been used as an inspiration by those responsible for more death and destruction over the centuries than Mein Kampf and Das Kapital put together. Not that I approve of any of them.

Well said Curryman.

Its not clever to use the "F"word indiscriminately, and displays a limited understanding of the English language.
Get lost. Religion? Pah. It used to be the opium of the masses. Now it’s the refuge of the feeble minded. The adjective is appropriate.

I didn't know there was a bible about that AK.

Try the Dictionary you may find alternative words in the Thesaurus for that word.
Are you confused? Or just thick? The Oxford English Dictionary and Roget’s Thesaurus have entirely different purposes.

Da Vinci Code is utter bilge

Middlemarch by George Elliot, had to read it for A level English, it was terrible, I ditched it and read Cole’s Notes in the end.

I cabnt say I have a worst book because I don’t carry on if it’s shit.
