If he come back I’d be fine with that.
Problem is it could end up being like Appleton where some are against it from the off and turn on him the second things don’t go our way.

Ideally he would come, get us promoted again and this time try and build on that unless the temptation to become some fuckin lap dog elsewhere is too much temptation for him.

And to quote yourself …….. (you) “have no awareness of how football operates”

What he did like Appleton previously is or was a disgrace - you have to face your audience and the people that work their nuts off so you can enjoy your footie career

He’ll never get a clap off me ever again, same as Appleton - too good for Blackpool ……. Clearly, look at their track record after !

What is the matter with selfish, self centered, money grabbing footie people at every level ?

Critchley had the fans in his hands, players (average) that worked really hard and tossed it all away for his 30 pieces of silver - what a legacy
It's nothing like Appleton at all the first time. He quit after 12 games whereas Critchley got us promoted and kept us in the Championship for a season. Two years of fantastic work. If you can't see the difference then you need to give your head a wobble.
Very few managers leave in perfect circumstances, they're either sacked or leave for something else. The something else normally involves more money and a bigger club.

Why would you even consider taking him back, his team selection was dodgy as f*~€ for half the games, subs choices were iffy, couldn’t have picked a worse team selection and formation away to the nobbers, failing miserably at qpr who probably have better players than Blackpool, wake up !!!

No. But not because of the way he left or any sense of disloyalty. I said not long after he left that the villa job would be over in six months because villa are a bit of a basket case and Gerrard was on borrowed time, which makes me think he doesn't have the medium to long term analysis capability or he just went for the money. Neither of which is a good characteristic.

Short memories some people.
What happened to the 'Calderwood was the brains behind him', 'then it was McCall'.
Is that wrong now?
