I notice VAR is being introduced in the championship for the play off matches potentially paving the way to introduce in this league permanently.
Would this be good news for us?

Personally I’m against it.

I don't have a problem with VAR. There aren't problems at tournaments.

The problem is shit officials sat in Stockley Park, backing up their own shit officials.
Me neither we brought it in as everything was black and white should have changed the rules first.

Completely against it. Great for Tennis but for a game like football I don’t want to have to stop myself celebrating a goal in case it gets reviewed. Not sure why keep striving for perfection when the sports themselves aren’t perfect and never will be. It’s part of the charm.

Focus should be on improving decision making from officials.

That focus could come about by introducing VAR. That said, the offIcials in this division are worse than the EPL so could lead to even more chaos.

No way, you can now see players In the Premiership looking over their shoulder when they score praying their goal isn't ruled out

VAR yes, but as said so many times it’s not the system I that’s the problem it’s how and when we use it why we cannot write and impose simple rules around it is beyond me 🤬clear mistakes not someone’s little toe is just offside FFS

No thanks, human error has always been part of the game , it adds to the excitement. VAR is far too forensic with its off side decisions. It does however have its good points but they are far out weighed with the bad points. I would welcome Goal line Tech at every game !

Sums it up perfectly , pal.
Goal line technology is the way forward.

Goal line tech at every game absolutely as that's a clear yes or no. Var as it is now absolutely not. Don't get me wrong I'm not a hater of the idea of Var just how those planks utilise it. Clear and obvious should be seen on a 1st replay, If its not seen then its not clear and obvious so refs decision should stand and we crack on.
It's the total fcuk ups we want correcting not every decision analysed.
Fcuk those stupid lines right off.

Sounds good to me ! 👍

I used to be indecisive about things like this, but now I'm not so sure......!
(Sorry about that..... I'll get my coat)

Oh, and it's no from me.
It works very well in other sports - rugby for instance - and it may well prove useful throughout football, but whereas rugby has sussed how to use it properly, I doubt that the powers that be in football will ever agree how to best utilise VAR under its current rulings.

I appreciate VAR is inevitable longer term, but we've a way to go to get it working as it was orignally designed so my answer in the short-term is a definite NO.

In the meantime, I'm quite content for the Premier League and the other big leagues / tournaments to be the guinea pigs to get it to a fit-for-purpose stage.

Its only purpose is to validate decisions on the pitch to Billionaire owners whose multi-million dollar investments need to be justified. It's not sport, it's business conducted on grass.
