For me, it's The Record by Boygenius. Beautiful melodies and harmonies that feel like a warm hug. Highly recommended if you haven't heard them.

Agreed Coinslot, the Boygenius album is great (makes my top 10). Favourite of the year is still undecided but will be one of these five: Sea Of Mirrors by The Coral, Culture Gun by Blue Aeroplanes, Love Makes Magic by JIM (aka Jim Baron), Dead Meat by The Tubs and City of Gold by Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway.

Its been another great year for new music . . . I agree about Boygenius and BC Camplight and have both their albums.

Other records I have bought and enjoyed this year are - Young Fathers, The Murder Capital, Ist Ist, Slowdive, Nation of Language, Baxter Dury, Grian Chattan, Hamish Hawk, Mitski, Daughter, Pale Blue Eyes, Afflecks Palace, Caroline Polachek, Public Service Broadcasting, ACR.
