Your favourite scoreline

Was saying last night that I actually found a 7-0 win quite boring and so was asked for my ideal scoreline.
Hate a nervy 1-0, 2-1 means no clean sheet and always the chance of conceding, scoring 3 or above is great however I would say my favourite scoreline is 2-0 and weirdly I reckon that must be amongst the least regular scores.
Last season we lost 2-0 4 times but never won 2-0!

Any game where we nick it at the death whether high scoring or the single goal & whether deserved or not. You go home happy even if it was shite.

I remember back in the day when me and my good friend used to do a weekly Fixed Odds coupon. We weren't doing very well, so talked about how to change tack and came up with correct scores.

We tried to work out a reasonably common scoreline that gave the best return odds wise, covering the whole fixture list on the coupon to win by the same score.

Came up with a 3-2 home win as the best one. There was nearly always 1 or 2, and often 4 or 5, the odds were minimum 40-1 up to 100-1. There was between 55-60 games on the coupon so if two came up it was virtually certain you'd break even, any more and it was profit.

We didn't do it for that long in the end. But to this day I always look how many 3-2 home wins there've been.

I remember in 2007, Parker scored to put us 5 2 up with three minutes left against Oldham in the second leg and I was still a bag of nerves. This is Blackpool we're talking about.

A few years ago there was a syndicate who did 3-3 as the result throughout the coupon and they needed 3 a week to make a profit. They started out having quite the success until the bookies discovered what they were doing and cut the odds of a 3-3 quite dramatically , think it was from 100/1 to 50/1 but not certain and this definitely restricted their profit margin.

3 - 2

You see 3 of your own goals and the other team scored enough to add the tension. Best variation of that is when the opposition is 2 up and you win 3 - 2, can't remember the last time that happened with Blackpool.

7-2; the score by which we beat Wolves in the first match I remember going to. Ray Charnley scored 4 and I vividly recall pouring over the Green report that night, delighting in seeing the capitalised names of the scorers.
