Wasn't it the biggest representative sample for a long time...

I didn't say opinion can't change only that many people agree with him on many issues, the majority on borders vs no borders. The majority did about brexit, so his views arent that out there are they. I still don't think the polls are right and also yes the Conservatives poor attempt at brexit has damaged its image for now. But the majority did agree with him. A poor implementation doesn't change that fact.

Didn't the Leave campaign shun Farage anyway? Surely it's Johnson and Cummings who should be taking the credit for convincing the 37% of the electorate who actually voted to leave.

I find the whole borders things hilarious to be honest. We stopped people coming from France, Germany, Norway, Sweden etc. and restricted the movement of our people. When my partner first moved to London from Sweden nobody would have referred to her as an immigrant, she'd be an expat, why? It's because she's Caucasian. Nigel didn't put a load of Swedish women on a billboard did he, he put dark skinned males fleeing conflict in a billboard about Turkey which isn't even in Schengen anyway! And we're supposed to pretend it isn't about race and religion aren't we... the tragic thing being that we then lost our agreement with the EU to deal with the people he was trying to whip up anger about in the first place!

Farage does not have popular support and the majority of people do not agree with his views, hence him being in the bloody jungle eating kangaroo cock trying to become relevant again. There'll be more people who think he's a laughing stock than agree with his views on most things.

Anyway I’m out for good now on this thread it’s the same old shit just another day and as I’ve said previously it’s just so tiresome these days it really is.

Of course there were many sides who fought on many issues but ultimately it doesn't change the fact that many agreed with him to come out the EU.

Have a look at the boat loads of people arriving, the point of the poster stands. We don't have the infrastructure for unlimited amounts of people.

I didn't say he did but some of the things he believes. He's a divisive figure as the media have gone after him like they can do for many. I don't agree with everything he says but some of the criticism is bollocks.

I know many good people of many nationalities.

However I don't think that if it is someone's preference for wanting someone they share values and language with to live next door to them is bad, it's their choice IMO.

Many immigrants want to live in their own communities, are they all racist? No, it's natural. Why do the accusations only seem to go one way?

It was race baiting by Farage just like his poster campaign showing Syrians [I think] trying to enter Turkey. Designed to scare people and to stigmatize what often are legitimate asylum seekers.
It plays into a narrative that is divisive. And some lap it up.

Well obviously, he even said that too, can't remember why Romanian men came up. Probably because they've been proven to be one of if not the most notorious bunch maybe, shown in the crime stats.

It's not a couple of articles it's well known what reputation the Romanians have. Doesn't mean they're all like that of course.

My Mrs is Romanian we met in Munich where we live. Every single member of her family are wonderful, kind, intelligent and very highly educated. The Romanian education system clearly had standards we haven't had for years, especially in the cold War days.

I have lots of other Romanian friends who live here, they are equally impressive people.

When I travel home I am overwhelmed by the astounding poverty in our town, the number of anti social, hair trigger violent, ignorant and uneducated people makes me genuinely sad.

I'd rather live next door to any of the Romanians I know above far too many of the people I meet back home. If some of the people fearing Romanian neighbours in this discussion met a lot more of them they'd probably agree.

BTW Farage is a twát playing on the fear of people for his own gain.

You’ve merely reacted to a response or two on here and have defended the Romanians and l get why but please don't trash Blackpool the way you have, yes we have social problems like any other city or town in this country. As you know l lived and worked in Munich for many years (16) but not once did l trash Blackpool. Munich is a beautiful city but has changed massively since The Wall came down and Angela Merkel allowing millions of immigrants to flood in but there is no place like the Gold Coast.

Btw I want to live next door to decent neighbours. I’m not bothered if they’re Black, midgets, trannies etc….as long as they’re nice, considerate folk. We’ve been very lucky with neighbours over the years but our neighbours haven’t been so lucky

Secondly that freedom of movement has denied me the possibility of moving to a European country and denied the UK of a ready and willing workforce. Brexit has ended up with increased immigration problems, with no answer other than a Rwanda distraction gimmick and large job vacancies with little answer other than forcing people to work till they drop.
