Strange set up from a goal kick with two defenders staying in the box
We did that last season. It's like garlic bread, its the future.Strange set up from a goal kick with two defenders staying in the box
It's basically his debut, he's done OK. Obviously not going to be a "starter".Number 6 (Garrity I think), making a lot of mistakes. Looks a bit too lightweight
that wasn't the trialist 2nd half was it? thought it was Sims? pretty poor whoever it was. This trialist keeper has shocking distribution
Erm...Looks like we are going to see better football next year, but I have a feeling we will still have problems getting the ball in the net.
4 goals.......................against what ranking? I'll reserve judgement until we play divisional rivals. But I think we will see far more entertaining stuff, nonetheless.Erm...
In the second half I thought that Kaikai, Anderson, and Yates linked up together very well.A decent display whatever the opposition. As has already been said they looked comfortable on the ball, their movement looked good and don't forget this is their first game together, once they start to read each other's games I can see the Pool being quite a force.
A bit harsh whoever it was bearing in mind there wasn't a save to be made either half.that wasn't the trialist 2nd half was it? thought it was Sims? pretty poor whoever it was.
I agree, there are times to play it out from the back and times to just get rid. I don’t want to go back to Graysons era but sometimes row z is the best option.20th century or not, I'm not a fan of the keeper and defenders pissing about with the ball from a goal kick. It just invites pressure and the ball is invariably hoofed up the pitch within 10 seconds anyway (if the defending team still has possession for that long).
was this the lad in the first half or second prawnmayo? The trialist keeper was Harry Flatters. 18 year old was at York until a few years ago then signed for Middlesbrough for about 60k aged 16. Was set to be offered terms there this summer but their budget got slashed after COVID. Distribution isn’t his strong point, but he’s a great shot stopper and commands his box very well.
The FTFC live streams weren’t too badas above, bloody awful.
no way to tell who's who.
I only watched the second half, which was him. Wasn’t aware the keepers were different each halfwas this the lad in the first half or second prawnmayo?
Notice the Cods didn't play today - great that we seem to have stolen a march on other League One sides. The FTFC live streams weren’t too bad
Thought Turton, Feeney and Nottingham all played well second half. All useful squad players. I thought Virtue was a bit quiet first half, but maybe we found it easier second half as I'm not sure Southport came out with a completely new team, like we did!I thought Gant Ward did well, the Swindon connection both did well and, Antwi also will be happy with his showing. Not sure where Turton, Feeney, Nottingham and Virtue are going to fit in and I think they will all struggle to make first eleven
It was the 1st half defence and 2nd half attack. Not sure about the midfield three yet.Ive managed to watch the second half before the first half. Just clocked the teamsheet on twitter seems a much stronger side first half.
