Peterborough v Blackpool Official Matchday Thread 07.05.22

Must be the curse of Maxwell, crap team performance at the start of the season, comes back in to the team, back to loosing games.... grimshaw better be number 1 next season.

Ha ha 3-0 unbelievable Jeff getting embarrassing this.
Dog going on an early walk can’t watch anymore of this shite.

FFS. That's an absolutely moronic thing to say mate. Get a grip.
5 goals conceded 0 scored against relegated teams, what else is it? Critchley said a couple of weeks ago he wanted us to finish on a high, if this is a high I would hate to see a low.

Fair enough its technically a meaningless game but how can anyone think its acceptable for the players to look half arsed when Blackpool fans have forked out and traveled in numbers to watch them, a 3+ hour trip on top of that for a 12:30pm kick off on top of THAT.

Great season but a truly awful game to end it on, relegated Peterborough who lost their best player in January doing us 3 nil. We've followed the team all over in numbers this season and given them the best support you could find anywhere in the division - you always have those days but there are poor performances all over the pitch.

With the prospect of finishing above the Nobbers we could have at least given it somewhat of a go. Looks like we were willing to take the hit today.

The best I can say is that our players put an awful lot of effort and commitment into competing in this league. Once we got safe I think there was a massive sigh of relief and the foot came off the peddle.
I think that's right. Add to that tired bodies from key players having to play right at the top of their game in order for us to compete with bigger better squads. Time for a break and a reset.
