I think I've had gammon dog at Wetherspoons. Is that a gammon dog whistle I hear?
Its only divisive if people are anti equality and take umbrage surely?Does that include us? It says the Prem.
Hope it does, far too divisive.
Its only divisive if people are anti equality and take umbrage surely?

What’s equality got to do with the meaningless gesture which the vast majority dont agree withIts only divisive if people are anti equality and take umbrage surely?
Yes it’s been largely ignored or booed or maybe you have never been to a football match“vast majority” okay boomer.
No they probably haven’t, they just follow the populist narrative.Have you ever looked at what BLM (UK) are actually asking for?
Applauded by most in the South where I have sat for every home game for the last two years. Never heard a boo.Yes it’s been largely ignored or booed or maybe you have never been to a football match
You obviously don't understand it. Why do you think they do it? And why does it offend you? What’s equality got to do with the meaningless gesture which the vast majority dont agree with
What?!!Canineist , Porcineist and Racist well done , now take both knees and give your house ( if you have one ) to someone who has been oppressed
Not on Saturday at Bloomfield Road or have you not been there?Yes it’s been largely ignored or booed or maybe you have never been to a football match

Have you not listened when players have said that taking the knee wasn’t in support of the BLM organisations, or did you not want to hear?No they probably haven’t, they just follow the populist narrative.
I thought it was about equality and being treated fairly. Have I got that wrong? No they probably haven’t, they just follow the populist narrative.
I dont know but go on enlighten me and it doesn’t offend me i just find it pointless and have never observed or acknowledged it , if anything it is a unifying point for many who want nothing to do with it and won’t pander to this minority ritual and those who would try and force it down the majorities throatsYou obviously don't understand it. Why do you think they do it? And why does it offend you?

You're embarrassing yourself. Log off.
Have you not listened when players have said that taking the knee wasn’t in support of the BLM organisations, or did you not want to hear?
Ok. What are they asking for?
Yes, the BLM movement advocates among other things, defunding ie. disbanding the police, banning certain elected politicians from office, banning others from standing. That will do for starters.I thought it was about equality and being treated fairly. Have I got that wrong?
See post# 31Ok. What are they asking for?

The aims are still the same, they have just moderated the language to make it more acceptable to the gullible.Their original gofundme page: https://www.gofundme.com/f/ukblm-fund
We’re guided by a commitment to dismantle imperialism, capitalism, white-supremacy, patriarchy and the state structures that disproportionately harm black people in Britain and around the world.
Taken at face value, they're asking for a black dominated apartheid state organized along Marxist lines where the blacks get all the good stuff and the rest of us (including Asians, mixed race etc) get to live in a tin hut and pick cotton.
Of course that was a couple of years ago, and the official aims are now a bit more palatable, but it's still the same people behind it.
Read their stated aims, once done it can’t be undone. And if you like quotes a much wiser man than Paul Simon said. “The moving finger writes and having writ moves on, nor all thy piety nor wit can lure it back to cancel half a line, nor all thy tears wash out a word of it.” To save you looking, it was Omar Khayyam. Here we go again.
"All lies and jest
Still a man hears what he wants to hear
And disregards the rest."
That's for white people.I heard they’d just changed it to taking the other knee now. Levelling up I think.
So what's the connection with kneeling before a football match?Their original gofundme page: https://www.gofundme.com/f/ukblm-fund

Thanks for your kind and intelligent words. Please explain? You really are stupid
Does punctuation and sentence structure offend you?I dont know but go on enlighten me and it doesn’t offend me i just find it pointless and have never observed or acknowledged it , if anything it is a unifying point for many who want nothing to do with it and won’t pander to this minority ritual and those who would try and force it down the majorities throats

On the 'defunding the police' thing, if you read what the BLM theorists (USA) were proposing, rather than the agenda-driven media reporting, they were advocating transferring some state funds from the police departments (not disbanding the police!) and using those funds o implement social improvement schemes - in other words it's a more effective use of public money to tackle the deprivation that leads to crime in the first place. Sound reasoning, it seems to me.Yes, the BLM movement advocates among other things, defunding ie. disbanding the police, banning certain elected politicians from office, banning others from standing. That will do for starters.
I think you've mapped your own views onto that statement to be honest hun.Their original gofundme page: https://www.gofundme.com/f/ukblm-fund

I know, that nasty pasty called me stupidGiven that this very quickly went from footballers not taking the knee in the Premier League to pretty incoherent personal attacks from people unwilling to listen or understand alternate views on either side… I’d suggest the mods maybe shift it over to the politics page. Most definitely not a football discussion.
I just think if people want to do it then why stop them? Maybe the ref doesn't need to allocate time before kick off for them to do it anymore no. But if I was a footballer who believed in it and wanted to do it still then I would just do it anyway.I think it has served its' purpose, however, how long can it go on?
Right time to end it?
Correct if they want to do it, do it, it’s a supposedly free country. I just think they shouldn’t be pressured into doing it just because they have been told it’s the right thing to do.I just think if people want to do it then why stop them? Who has the right to tell anyone what they can and can't do as long as its not hurting or affecting anybody else?
