the top of a slippery slope, next season or at most season after it will be digital only.
Yeah ,also will the club be supplying phone chargers at the turnstiles like other clubs if you have flat batterythe top of a slippery slope, next season or at most season after it will be digital only.
I once forgot to put my ticket in my wallet. The club should have reminded me. Bloody useless.Yeah ,also will the club be supplying phone chargers at the turnstiles like other clubs if you have flat battery
Why? I remember having 5 Fylde tickets on my phone. Just scan the first 4 through then you last.Kinda falls down if you carry your own and your kids tickets with you though.
You mean actually using your noggin? That'll never catch onWhy? I remember having 5 Fylde tickets on my phone. Just scan the first 4 through then you last.
I think that might be the main driver...to stop fans passing on their tickets.Maybe some issues of you can't make a game and want a family member, child or mate to have it. But apart from that all good
I know, I'm going to write a very strongly worded telegram to them...the top of a slippery slope, next season or at most season after it will be digital only.
You would just send them a copy from your wallet pretty easy I expectI think that might be the main driver...to stop fans passing on their tickets.
Yeah, but if you can’t go ,the person using your card are still spending on the concourse.I think that might be the main driver...to stop fans passing on their tickets.
Will the final delivery be by a youth on a BSA bantam.I know, I'm going to write a very strongly worded telegram to them...
You don't have a Fax MachineI know, I'm going to write a very strongly worded telegram to them...
They would just nick your phone, then you lose your ticket and you couldn’t phone the club .You don't have a Fax Machine
Incidentally.... In around 1980(something) I found a book of Season Tickets... The old rip out booklet style.... No details with it... So I kept it and went to the games for nowt for a season...
Some scallywag couldn't do that with this new fangled set up
You could cycle to the Club on your Penny Farthing though and they could cancel your ticket and then just report your stolen phone to the peelersThey would just nick your phone, then you lose your ticket and you couldn’t phone the club .
It's very unlikely that the Club would opt to go entirely digital for the foreseeable. They're providing it as an option..If it goes completely digital I would think you could lose fans who aren't tech savvy , don't have a smartphone and don't have a printer.
So common sense dictates you give them an option other than digital.
Going completely digital I can see the Club losing fans but not gaining any ,
I was just going to reply the same. No sane owner would say this is the only option or no entry. It's very unlikely that the Club would opt to go entirely digital for the foreseeable. They're providing it as an option..
Do you not use carrier pigeon?I know, I'm going to write a very strongly worded telegram to them...
Many fans can't attend all games, exiles for example. Padding it on when not being used has always happened, mainly at nil cost. Restricting that is a bit poor, it gets a bum on a seat from someone who wouldn't usually come.I think that might be the main driver...to stop fans passing on their tickets.
It says NFC, so it'll be tap against the reader like the ST is.If you have to scan off your phone that will be fun…and that’s before you get started with those who are trying to download to their wallet using data around the ground!
Why when ST cards are still accepted? This will see a few of the old guard off.
Why? There is the exact same amount of data about you when using a plastic card. Whether the nfc chip is scanned from a phone or a card makes so difference in that sense.Just need some facial recognition cameras at the turnstiles now and I think we've got a full house. Its a from me.
Bet I can guess who quotes this post..
Eventually cards will be gone, no problem for me but i know a few oldies that just wont get on board with techWhy when ST cards are still accepted?
Too longDone in 5 seconds…
Well until that happens people are fine if an option remains.Eventually cards will be gone, no problem for me but i know a few oldies that just wont get on board with tech
We don't want carrier pigeons, that would be even more pooh to clean up.Do you not use carrier pigeon?
Great news, the club is moving into the modern age
You misunderstand. I'm happy to pass on my card when I can't go. I think the Club might see this as a way of stopping it.Yeah, but if you can’t go ,the person using your card are still spending on the concourse.
I completely agree and do it myself. Many fans can't attend all games, exiles for example. Padding it on when not being used has always happened, mainly at nil cost. Restricting that is a bit poor, it gets a bum on a seat from someone who wouldn't usually come.
