QPR v Blackpool Official Matchnight Thread 16.08.22

We have a problem up front, Yates ran his socks off, hit the post but had hardly any support, he was alone up top. Lavery chases and he tried but his finishing is awful, must be colic of confidence but we need a striker for the middle and play Yates on the left or dare I say 2 player for the front 3!!, 3 if Bowler goes!!

Fantastic result. That should buy some time and settle some nerves.
Still lots of issues, and a real shame about the two injuries. Really hope they are not long term ones.
Bring on The Burrrnley.

Yes but players were literally just giving thr ball away just like last season, 1 nil up and panic stations.

Saw it though but should have been better.

Wasted some chances 2nd half too.

How Lavery skied that ball.....
But... but... but if we never made any mistakes we'd be in the Champion League. 😄 I agree, we can improve, and we will.

Well done to everybody, great team performance. Charlie is going to be some player for us, especially well done to the manager, we are starting to see what he’s trying to do.👏👏👏👏

I’d attribute nerves to a lot of that. The players wanted the win as much as we did.

On a relaxed day in training Lavery buries those chances, I’ve been giving him some shit recently, but he worked extremely hard and dropped deep to win back the ball.

Lavery and Yates were outstanding tonight, defending from the front. Jerry hit the outside of the post and the shot at the end was on target. Lavery not an easy one for the rebound.

The goals will come as the team confidence develops. That’s why we don’t need knee jerk crap like Saturday.

Corbeanu looks a different prospect of the right.

Our season was up and running from day one when we beat Reading.. We ain't the invincibles..you win some we (hopefully) lose less..

Na its passing thats not upto championship quality once we lost 2 players, the rest started giving it away. But happy with the result.

His finishing is still not happening but the energy when him Yates and whoever else is pressing is immense.

1st half we made some mistakes but also looked at times quite good.

Can see it coming together but could do with a transfer boost too.
