QPR v Blackpool Official Matchnight Thread 16.08.22

"Hello and Welcome to the QPR show, where tonight the famous Rs we hope will be beating little Northern club Blackburn/eherm...Pool

Ah, QPR. Do we ever get anything from our away trips there? Will we score one of those goal things?

Most people will predict us to lose, and I can understand why, however this is when we normally get a result (when we least expect it) here’s hoping 👍

Hoping this will be like Reading, hadn’t won there is years and came away with a terrific victory.

It’s definitely more hope than expectation.

They are one point better off than us.Play like the second half on Saturday and more than capable of getting a result.Sooner or later somebody will score

Hold out for a draw tonight and Burnley as per Phil and get some quality in before the window closes and we look in not too bad a position. If there’s a time we need the 12th man, it’s now!

Loftus Road or whatever name it goes under now, has never been a happy hunting ground, even against 10 men we managed to toss away a point last season. I can't say I'm massively optimistic of that run ending tonight but am hopeful we can at least set off on the right foot and have a go at them. Their fans will expect a win and hopefully the disappointment the players felt at the weekend can turn into determination tonight.

Tough looking game on paper but sometimes football surprises you with a result when you least expect it

Keep it tight first 20min and who knows

Score draw

Last year we were abysmal at QPR. Losing to 10 men and conceding another late winner. I can see either Lavery, Yates or Bowler hitting the net tonight. But will it be enough?.. as I can't see us keeping a clean sheet. I'd take a draw now and try and build confidence into the next game.

Play like we did in the first half on Saturday and we’ll be losing by 4 or 5. Play like we did in the second half and I actually fancy us to get a result. Lavery and Yates look desperate to get on the scoresheet and Bowler will want to make amends - especially at his first club. Technical players should have a good game on the small Loftus Road pitch and I can imagine Patino and Fiorini will do well.

Think we might get something tonight. Odds against us with recent London and TV form. I’m going for a 2-2 with a re-motivated Josh and Jerry show and Shane chomping at the bit.

I also think you will get something tonight, another defeat. QPR are a decent side and to come back after being 2-0 down away at Sunderland shows that. Had 'pool been at home you may have got a draw but away I don't think so.

I can accept gloating Norfolk Nobber predicting a loss, but come on guys this is thread is real gloomy. If we don't have hope & faith in our team, we have nothing 🍊
2-2 and that will be a great result under the current circumstances 🧡
