Blackpool v Blackburn Official Matchnight Thread 31.08.22

3 defeats, no goals, my usual prediction must be favourite. 🙄

Hopefully the north can behave so we can make full use of the East going forward.

Not convinced by Williams. He's good on the vall and in the air but that's a couple of times now where he's played people onside and either ambled back or looked for an offside.
Reminds me of the quote about any time you're running towards your goal as a CB you've made a mistake.

Or maybe I just miss Uncle Richard 😄

Its so frustrating watching us have the ball in Gabriel's position, and we have 4 players stood within 30 feet in the left wing position all wondering why they don't have the ball

A lot of space to improve and a manager who seems to be very good at in-game changes. Reckon this will finish 1-1.

Thought we looked good before they scored, high energy press. Their counter produced a good goal. They look like they’ve a bit more quality on the ball.
Still in it, need next goal though.

A big hole in the middle of the park exposed on sat and the same tonight. Not surprising with the injuries but clear where we need our million dollar man

Decent’ish first 20 then fuck all really after they scored, passing around at the back again and could of cost us more but this does seem be the norm with most teams these days, baffles me. TBF just seen their goal again it was a great ball that put the guy in to score.

Yep, we do seem easy to get through - Dougall and Connolly have a lot of work to do, always a risk getting caught out pressing forward.

Watching on the tablet on Crete, so it's not the same as being there.

No idea why we get all worked up over Sky, we generally don't play well at home when the eyes of the world are on us!

I thought we started ok.

It felt like a poor goal to concede; but it may just have been an incisive pass to a good run with a sharp finish.

We need another body in midfield and personally I'd sacrifice Madine to get it.

We aren't miles off and it would be interesting to see what happens if we score.

Looking on the bright side, we can come back and have proven it this season.

Loads of reasons for empty seats, but it doesn't look good on the TV.

The only time we look like creating a chance, it’s for the opposition! Don’t get this risky defensive tactic at all. They’ve nullified Bowler by doubling up so where so we score? Tactically good from Blackburn.
