Blackpool v Blackburn Official Matchnight Thread 31.08.22

Rather than trawl over and home after the match, I'll be watching on Sky. As my season ticket will be counted as an attendee it shouldn't affect the home attendance. 2-1 Pool win.

After 3 wins & 3 defeats for us it will no doubt be a draw. Holding out hope for a Rovers win though!

Should have a healthy following with over 3,000 sold.

Hopefully our home midweek league form improves this season …. Scoring only once & a goal less draw with WBA the only “highlights” I can recall from last season?

When I think of Blackburn I think of Breteton Diaz, Sam Gallagher, Bradley Dack... several other Championship quality players who are difficult to play against...it will be a physical one for sure.

Not sure how we will set up to counter that but I trust Appleton!

On the plus side their recent away form has been poor, they’ve conceded a lot and last game at home they had 70% possession, 2 shots on target and 16 off... but still lost.

Hope we can upset them. I think our players will be up for it in front of the cameras. COYMTB 🍊

We will have 7 players out if Williams isn’t fit tonight
Williams
Fiorini
Patino
Garbutt
Stewart
Anderson
Carey( banned)

It’s a big one tonight. In terms of rivalry and seeing if we can continue with the attractive attacking football we’ve been offered of late.

Bring it on. Good luck lads.
