If the reports are correct then we need to wrap this up QUICKLY so we can move on to other targets.
We should have already wrapped those up, there lies the problem. If we don't bring in at least 2 permanent signings, Mansford will have failed badly this summer. If the reports are correct then we need to wrap this up QUICKLY so we can move on to other targets.
Agreed, in reality we would have loved for this to be done weeks ago, but like most deals, clubs will become more desperate the closer they get to deadline day and that's when most of the business gets done.We should have already wrapped those up, there lies the problem. I think there’s a much much higher and realistic chance of Diaz signing a new contract at Rovers (they can and would offer him £20k + maybe even £30k a week in a new deal) than Bowler signing a new deal here. That unfortunate for us does mean Bowlers value is reduced as it’s essentially money now or money never whereas for Rovers it’s money now or possibly money never. That uncertainty works in their favour. From the Blackburn telegraph transfer talk.........
Fulham's bid for Diaz was £6 mill with add ons taking it to £10 mill
No wonder Rovers didn't have to give it much thought.
We're thinking of £4 Mill + for Josh
For a minute there thought we'd signed Hegerty or LabbettReg spotted driving in. Foreign I think, it had the letters run in the bottom left followed by CH4SER
I'm none the wiser.
He's getting chances in front of goal and fluffing them. Doesn't seem to be able to get a shot on target. That's not a poacher in my book. Distinctly out of form. He's a great lad but needs to re-discover what he had when he arrived at BR, somehow.wont happen for him stuck out on the wing Shaynes a poacher
Agree about Lavery he works hard and runs around a lot but when a chance comes the ball either bounces off him, he falls over or a combination of the above. Corbeanu should have started last night or at least have come on at half time. He's getting chances in front of goal and fluffing them. Doesn't seem to be able to get a shot on target. The article says he'd have a shot at the first team with us.Another development squad player!! Fuck off BB!
2 games with Oldham on loan, I can't see it. We need an experienced central midfielderThe article says he'd have a shot at the first team with us.
Wasn't on loan. Brighton signed him from there. He might be good!2 games with Oldham on loan, I can't see it. We need an experienced central midfielder
I don't have a problem with signing promising youngsters but we need some experienced quality in.Wasn't on loan. Brighton signed him from there. He might be good!
We do need a midfielder yeah, but someone to score some goals wouldn't hurt.
I agree but it's unlikely to happen. It doesn't seem to be the Appleton way at all.I don't have a problem with signing promising youngsters but we need some experienced quality in.
Another development squad player!! Fuck off BB!
Longer term yes.Zak Emmerson could be decent he has a great pedigree and was prolific in the Premier League youth leagues.
Yep agreed, need a CM in ASAP by the end of the dayLonger term yes.
Issue is we need players who can slot straight in and make a difference now, especially centre mid
What good are appearance payments if Forest sent him out on loan? Is this a stitch up?Sky says Bowler's fee is an initial £2m. Another £2 is dependent on appearances etc.
Also suggesting he will be sent out on loan by Forest, maybe abroad.
Won’t be having to pay his wages when he goes to Greece and we couldn’t afford his new salary.
If they view his move to Greece as a development move why not just loan him back to us?? Vile move.
Desperately need a centre mid. BB will probably bring in a mentor called Sid. For the under 12s.Issue is we need players who can slot straight in and make a difference now, especially centre mid
I think anyone we sign now can probably be filed in the ‘panic signing’ catagory.Desperately need a centre mid. BB will probably bring in a mentor called Sid. For the under 12s.
Cos the same bloke owns Forest and Olympiakos. The cynic in me thinks that’s a more a case of getting a new quality player for Olympiakos and sod all about Josh’s development ?
If they view his move to Greece as a development move why not just loan him back to us?? Vile move.
BB is getting some stick on here todayThis £2mill part payment etc. and loan out f’in stinks. If no further established signings tonight (CM plus CF) then tosspot Ben has to go
Possibly but we don't know. A lot can happen in the last 6 hours of TDD. I'll get depressed when there's no other option.I think anyone we sign now can probably be filed in the ‘panic signing’ catagory.
Sometimes they turn out ok.
I have a feeling we won’t be signing anyone for the first team today and try and get a free agent or two in.
Depressing.
No, I don't think that is an option from an insurance point of view. Can medicals be done after the deadline If deals get done but no time for travelling for medical ?
I was thinking more can deals be done pending medical within the transfer window rules point of view rather than from an insurance point of viewNo, I don't think that is an option from an insurance point of view.
We’ll end up signing bloody Kirk at about 10.55 and trumpet it as a “capture”Possibly but we don't know. A lot can happen in the last 6 hours of TDD. I'll get depressed when there's no other option.
I think they can - as long as all paperwork is signed the deal can be done - subject to a medicalNo, I don't think that is an option from an insurance point of view.
CorrectI think they can - as long as all paperwork is signed the deal can be done - subject to a medical
I prefer not to imagine shit things happening to elevate my own misery. We’ll end up signing bloody Kirk at about 10.55 and trumpet it as a “capture”
So in theory all parties could agree the deal at 10.59 get all the paperwork signed and emailed to the EFL and complete the medical tomorrow - this is why deals go right to the last minute of the windowCorrect
Brilliant. New thread with it maybe, statement from Mansford.....
