Best case scenario we keep Bowler and get a CM. Worst case scenario we sell Bowler and get no one in. Today all revolves around Bowler.
 
Really don't know what to expect.

Reality probably tells me we will sell Bowler and bring one in.
 
The Appleton I review suggested he is talking to one or two but he didn't sound convinced. Likely to be playing down expectations.

There are players needing clubs surely. We'll get approached today by clubs and agents offering players.

We will be offering players out too. Virtue. I wonder if Shayne might go, if we get the chance to sign a new striker? It's just not happening for him at the moment unfortunately.
 
I actually think no news is good news, it means we’ve kept Josh, but on the negative side, not strengthened the midfield. Depends how long before the injured are back. Carey has one more game and I think Patino is a couple of weeks away, don’t know about Stewart and Keshi.
 
Bowlers going to be leaving.

I’m in two minds really, clearly the best player on the pitch for us currently. Is he being held back by the lack of talent around him? Not sure but for someone of his ability I’ve always felt he should get more goals and assists. He’s on the cusp of being great and this is his big chance to prove he’s a PL player. He must for his own sake force a move through today.

I think we’ve basically replaced him early with Patino and Poveda so can’t see a massive splurg at 9 tonight on someone to replace him.
Saying that. I can’t see anyone really coming in today.

I saw a thread saying they feel sorry for Lavery this morning not for me, he seems like a good, honest lad trying his nuts off, the talent level just isn’t there. I’d be in half a mind to move him on. The one player I really do feel sorry for, if you can for a pro footballer is Thorniley. Why do I feel sorry for him, because he’s clearly very talented, has proven he can more than hold his own in this league but has been constantly misused and discarded by Quitchley and now Appleton, maybe they’re seeing something I ain’t but when he’s not getting into the team over a 21 year old that is still very questionable I think he needs to move on for his own good too.

Virtue, yeh as much as I like him, probably needs to move on, doesn’t seem to have the prerequisites to got into this team.

Not sure what CJ is bringing to the team anymore? Would we need to replace him though, yes possibly, doesnt sound like we have anyone lined up though, but I dont think he gets in ahead of Poveda or Corbeanu, I'd move him on today.

I also worry for Dougall in this side, if we didn’t have a massive midfield injury crisis I think he would have been moved on, Connolly is head and shoulders above him as a defensive midfielder and Kenny doesn’t bring much else to the table. Connolly needs a creative player next to him.

Easy this football management lark, eh.

If we do sign somone, I just hope it isnt another player on loan that I have to google who they are, I dont get excited by this anymore
 
Can't see anyone coming in today, the club have prioritized quality over quantity this window and had a firm stance that they're not going to bring a player in if it isn't for the right price, the market is incredibly inflated right now and the club don't want to pay 3 or 4 times what a player is actually worth. That's not going to change in one day.

It's frustrating, but I'd rather us wait til January (when players are closer to their contracts being up) than panic buy now.
 
They said yesterday they may bring in another midfielder on a short loan as fiorini is going to be out quite a while
