They are forcing us back massive difference in squad cost. Keep it 1-1 till half time we can win this
 
Watford clearly have a lot more quality than us, but so far I'm not to disheartened with the performance shown. Great goals from both teams. Game on!
 
Think were looking at the bottom three, cant imagine WBA staying down there much longer and coventry with games in hand. Can't keep playing 'well' and not getting results unfortunately, something has to give

The fixture list hasn’t been kind but should mean we get it easier at some point. Keep this a draw at least till half time we will win this

Granted October isn't a nice month but no game is easy in the championship, do things suddenly change because it rolls to November, i'm hoping so....
 
Carey has made the mistake of taking that too early.He’s reaching for it and he’s not got over the top of it like he should.It should have gone over the keeper into the other side he probably felt he was going to get blocked so took it early.
 
decent start but we are getting overrun in midfield. The set up for their freekick with the wall was really poor, there was so much space for the watford player to aim at. hopefully regroup and come out all guns blazing.

Watford look really poor defensively, particularly when we play football rather than hoofing. Its another team that cannot play out from the back either, should be able to capitalise on that.
 
Decent performance that, Watford have some quality for sure.

Thornily has been immence, madine has also been very good. Game passing patino by at the moment.

Need to get Theo on the ball more.

Showed them too much respect in that half. Not engaging with them until they are in our defensive third.

Yes they have a better team but we need to find a way of getting higher up the pitch or the inevitable will just happen.

Hopefully Appleton can work his magic at HT.
 
Thorniley is our best centre half - period.

I had a grumble about this midfield 3 due to their youth and inexperience earlier in the week when someone suggested it and it seems I’m being proved right as Louza is doing as he pleases and must have made 75 passes that first half.

Theo seems quiet, think it’s to do with service. Jerry, again, so tenacious in his pressing and work rate. Madine won a few good headers.

Dom Thompson - I’m not sure what has happened to him. He seems to be a nervous wreck who just screams mistake every time the ball goes near him.

Connolley done well at RB.
 
A couple of thoughts on their goal. Suprised Maxwell only had three in the wall for a free-kick on the edge of the box! Obviously he thought he could cover the ground in time. So, the responsibility falls on him for the goal in my view. I reckon Grimshaw would definitely have saved that and I cannot believe he is not starting at the moment. Maxwell does not inspire confidence in the defence. He is very slow off his line, is rubbish on crosses and his distribution is nowhere near as good as Grimshaw's. But what do I know....

I’d like to Corbeanu get at Gosling more because, from memory, he isn’t the fastest is he? Be good to get him in a foot race.

We stopped pressing and they had their spell for 20 minutes, which is inevitable against a side this full of quality, but then the game steadied again. A quick start needed again this half.
 
Bridcutt on for Carey. Superb.

I don’t really think Carey brings much to the table IMO. Gives the ball away a lot, bit of “passer by” player in my eyes.

HAS to do better with his chance in the first half also.
 
TTV really needs a new commentator - Chizzy is absolute pants. Got the opposition wrong at one point. Complaining about only one minute added on time when the board showed four!
PS the change of Bridcott for Carey looks sensible
 
I’m not a lover of Lavery but Corbeanu needed to be brought off. Was letting the game pass him by, wouldn’t close his man down when out of possession. Good sub, IMO.
