West Brom v Blackpool Official Matchnight Thread 01.11.22

Now this is a bit of twisted logic.
Scrafters in his predicted line-up rests Charlie Patino (he's the one that doesn't like Preston very much 😂) on the basis that he's one booking away from a ban so he's being protected. It resets after 19 games which for us is Luton.
Surely that's effectively the Club banning him and then if plays on Saturday and gets booked that makes it a 2 match ban.
I think this needs a rethink Matthew. 😉

Maybe they will rest him for 19 games 😏

Connolly also needs to avoid a yellow in the next two games as he will be a bigger miss than Patino IMHO.

Gavin ward has been a shocking referee for us in the games I’ve seen him referee 😩😩😩😩
He sent Callum Connolly off in the 14th minute at Millwall august 21
He then reffed the qpr v Blackpool and sent off a qpr player. Donaldson
He did the nobbers game last Saturday v boro and dished out 6 yellow cards

We stick with the same team. Back to back wins....these lads are buzzing. It's easy to feel knackered when you're losing, just as it is to feel invinsible when you're winning.

I'd like to think he'll go with the same team unless someone really needs a rest, we have a strong bench at the moment with options if it needs changing. I'd quite happily take a point tonight after the away win on Saturday, and I'd really like to give Luton a proper twatting on Saturday, I have an irrational dislike for them and Nathan (**) Jones.

Another tough game tonight but I reckon we might be able to blow them away!!! 🙈🙈🙈

Saying that... we're probably fucked from the quick turnaround from Saturday... really hope we don't put in another Hull-esque abject performance...

I'm gonna go with a turgid, yet hopeful, 1-1.

Seems we lose when I think we’ll win.
Goes back to playing better against better teams.

We'll lose tonight. 1) I'm going. 2) We haven't won 3 games in a row this season and we're playing against a crap team.

Don’t think we will win tonight, but I’ll be happy if we can get a draw, possibly 0-0 or 1-1 with a Yates penalty.

Could be one of those games where the ref fancies being centre stage. COYP, we’ve been playing some beautiful football recently.

For those driving there is torrential rain north of Brum just now, as well as holdups as you get close. Allow time and take care.

Got a good feeling about tonight, which is probably a bad thing as I had a bad feeling about Preston and Coventry and they turned out to be good things

Hope I've just reversed that conundrum by addressing it

Been to West Brom 3 times, two defeats and a 1-1 draw when Alan Ainscow scored. Good time to beat the Baggie bogey.

Got a soft spot for West Brom after working with some foreign players there several years ago but tonight I want 3 points for the Pool!
