This is far too easy for Sunderland. Appleton has taken our threats off without actually addressing the gaping holes in the middle.

Surely bring Dougall on and then Poveda out wide.
 
Madine must have more minutes on the pitch than any other Pool player this season, not bad for a player who was going to only going to be playing on and off, but it shows how poor the recruitment has been.

Why… just let Sunderland back in without tactically trying to stop the threat? For example, their goal. What the fuck is Lavery doing there defending. Why is he bringing Beesley on at right wing again? It’s a complete mess.

Sunderland are just waiting to score. I don’t think we are that bad but the manager is making it harder than it needs to be in my opinion.

Dougall on now. I think he should start every game because you’re right- our midfield is vulnerable

He's not that good though and it is where we have to get a player in, it's 2 ** years now without one! I thought Patino had a really good game but was absolutely knackered

Rubbish. For one there are little positives. But for balance Poveda has been excellent, Patino worked hard, Maxwell had a good game. Defence generally have been ok apart from Connolly. Madine doing more than a striker like that needs to be doing such as chasing down.

None of the above alters the fact the team is so lightweight, unbalanced and gets battered for long periods of matches which is why we are second bottom.
