How Not to Run a Football Club book

I know exactly your plan. I've written FOURTEEN perfect books, and yet STILL people criticise. What can you do....??

How Not to Run a Football Club book

The very best of luck with this mate. Writing a book is a tough and mental process, and once it's out there you are open to all kinds of criticisms, BUT don't forget that YOU did this and you should be really proud. Just make sure you don't knock 'Flat Caps and Tangerine Scarves' off the shelves...

How Not to Run a Football Club

Good luck mate. Very proud of you. I'm an old hand at this book thing now, but I still get a thrill on release date. Enjoy every second, drink champagne, and DON'T get upset over bad reviews. They are mostly from people who wouldn't be able to do what you have just done.

    Jimmy Armfield Authorised Biography

I can't give away details as it's confidential due to the publishers. As far as I'm concerned, this is the most important book I have ever written, because I knew Jimmy well. I know he will be watching, so hopefully it will be entertaining, enlightening and accurate.

    Jimmy Armfield Authorised Biography

A good question, and this is the answer. The family agree that so much happened after his autobiography, so they want it to be brought up to date by someone who knew him, and who cared. Some of the royalties are going to Jimmy's charity too. I hope that answers.

    Jimmy Armfield Authorised Biography

I'm pretty happy to say that I have been given the commission to write Jimmy's official biography, backed completely by the Armfield family It is due for release in early 2023 hopefully. Of course, I need your help, and why else would I post? For those who read 'Flat Caps and Tangerine Scarves'...

    Away followings at Bloomfield Road

Rarely post, but i loved this thread. I thought I would jump in and maybe correct a few mistakes (imo). The largest away following was definitely Man Utd in 74. There was about 15,000 of them and all housed in the Kop (although a few elsewhere). Villa also brought about 15,000 for their...

    Flat Caps and Tangerine Scarves

Some people will accuse me of only coming on this site to promote my book, and to be fair, that's true. It is a Blackpool FC book, so if you haven't ordered then read this review and hopefully jump straight in...

A big thank you to all those who have sent me reviews of the book (mostly good, but occasionally bad...), but please keep them coming as the publishers are very interested for obvious reasons. Thanks again.
