Affroman & Raggy vs the Oystains

Still think the book is poor! :)😀🥹😦 Why are you proud of going to watch them in court? Surely it's them two who should be proud, for what they did, how they reacted, how they dealt with the situation? You did nowt compared to them two, you just pitched up in the public gallery. Bravo...

    Policing the match

I spoke to two plods on my way home from the game and asked them why there was so many of them. They said they were expecting trouble, but reckoned the big presence of old bill had worked so far. Anyone know if there was any problems later in the evening or owt?

    Coulson v Dale or Lyons

Andy Lyons is a wing back. That's where he played for Rovers all season when he was there (I watched most of their games that season) and when he played for Bohs before he went to Rovers.

    1st February 1975….

So was I. I can't remember why I was in the South Paddock that day as I usually went on the Kop. Maybe because it was a bit busy outside, queues and all that. Was in the right place for that goal though!

    Box of toys we trust

Yeah, that's a great idea! I could probably get them a gig at the Royal Oak, or possibly The Queen's in Layton. They'd have to play Toys In The Attic though. Or Bats In The Belfry.

Forgotten Football chants at Bloomfield Road

Whenever there was a bit of aggro on the Kop in the late 60's and the old bill would wade in, truncheons a-go-go.... Who's that fella with a tit on his head - copper, copper, Who's that fella with a tit on his head - copper is his name. On the beat all day, On the wife all night, Who's that...

    KENNY DOUGALL DEPARTS BLACKPOOL.

Lancaster University Concerts - Fantastic Book

Mr Pugh's Puppet Theatre supported Eric Clapton there in August 1976. He also supported Ian Dury & The Blockheads on their tour in May 1978 when What A Waste was out. I saw both. Rather bizarrely for the time, Clapton opened that gig at Lancaster with Smile by Nat King Cole.

    Chapeau Neill Critchley

Because with text speak and emojis we're reverting to hieroglyphs. Or is it progressing to them. Whichever or whatever, it's still communication wot is being understood, which is what communication is all about, innit.

    Ozzy Floyd

You lucky divil! I've got a flyer for that Hendrix Floyd gig at the Opera House. I wasn't there, although I did see Hendrix outside the Opera House that day. He was in the back of a white Merc going around the corner from Church St into Abingdon Street. I was too young to go to the gig, but two...

    Ozzy Floyd

Well Pink Floyd didn't. Nick Mason's Saucerful Of Secrets don't replicate it exactly either. If you want exact replication, just listen to the records. And no, it's not what it's all about.

    Ozzy Floyd

Nope. Saw the real Floyd three times in the early 70's. Saw Oz Floyd once about 20 years back. I may as well have stayed home and played the LPs. The real Floyd weren't like that live at all. Wish I'd seen them with Syd though.
