I think 2m is on the high side, but when you think thay Carlisle want 1m for Moxon it might now be thay far off. Not everyone is willing to take 50p and a sausage roll like we have been in the past.

He's played 38 games in 4 seasons, most of them as bit part substitution appearances. He's completely unproven in every respect and has been hit and miss in many of his 15 Blackpool appearances and is lightweight in the extreme. A luxury player who is nice to have without a doubt.

I really do think some people watch too much Sky Sports News and are away with the fairies in relation to Dembele.
 
Agreed but in modern football a flair player stands out to such a degree that a Dembele becomes speculative gamble .
Football success can be fleeting . 20 goals scored one season in league one often means a speedy punt by a Championship club.
Dembele has already shown he can do what few other players at this level can do...he wins us games and players that can do that are much sought after..by everyone

We can't afford him and much bigger clubs than us will come in for him.

Let's just enjoy him while we can because he's a rare talent and more exciting than Bowler at his best.

I'll agree with you on that. I never rated Bowler as highly as others did. He had a good spell and believed his own hype. I will say he is probably the best dribbler of a ball I have ever seen at Blackpool.
 
Nobody knows what will happen and what will be will be. Just enjoy him while he is here. He has had a lot of messing about in his short career so far. He must be enjoying the stability and support whilst being with us. He'll also be aware of Critchley's background.

Fingers crossed that could work in our favour. Even if the loan period is extended.

Hit and miss? I think he's been consistently good, usually our best player.

No he's not.

Despite "DEMBALIA" he's been really good in about half the games, and missing in the other half.

We'd be top of the league based upon some of the unrequited gushing on here. Deary me. And he hasn't even started half of his appearances.

Don't get me wrong, he's an exciting player and I'm glad he's here. But some of the utter dross typed on here is just bizarre.

Brest probably won't sell unless its a multi million euro deal. They have no reason to, unless they don't think he'll play for them, and his stock might go down being a bench warmer in France, so cash in early and profit off that free transfer.
 
Who was the last player who had t played above League 1 to move for for a 7 figure fee? Genuine question. What was Twine’s fee.

Dembele is a hell of talent, but an unproven one. I’d like to think we want him, but are better negotiators that paying a proven talent fee for potential.

Sent him to England for gametime, and minutes on the field. Performances and pundit accolades have only increased his value.

No bigger a club than us, their squad is valued at 4/5 times our value, and was only a few seasons ago they were offloading players for 10+ million. Still have bigger spending power than us it seems.

They have a decent contract length on him, alot of eyes on him, of course they will try milk as big a transfer fee as they can. Only way it comes down is an generous sell on clause.
Charlie patino is what. Valued at around 12 million.

The thing is with Dembele that you're look at this based on what he has already done on the pitch, when thats not what we would be paying for. We would be paying for what he could potentially do which is a gamble. That's how it works with alot of young players now. Joseph isn't worth 1m+ on what he's already done, but we've allegedly paid that because of how good he could turn out to be.

Rhian Brewster got bought by Sheffield United for 25m and he hadn't kick a ball in a competitive game for Liverpool or in the prem. He'd had a loan spell at Championship Swansea and that was it.

Sometimes I read your posts in my head with a sort of crying tone. Like if a grown man was slowly bursting into tears while talking. And it usually always fits.
 
Depends on how he performs over the whole season ? Continues current form over a longer spell then the £ tag will go up. But, what’s his contract situation ? By season end half way through a 4 year deal? Brest maybe wanting a sale ? With a hefty sell on clause (30-40%?)
Have we been crafty to install a buy clause at the end of the loan ?
