I think many people thought that a 2-1 first leg lead wasn't enough. 😁
DJCs first two goals in the 2nd leg were absolutely tremendous.
Made my afternoon that.
 
The best thing about that semi final was we beat a very good Forest side, convincingly, twice. And after going behind.

Always rated Camp as a decent championship keeper. Players like Perch and Morgan at the back, Cohen, McKenna, and Madjewski in the middle, Earnshaw and Blackstock up top. They were a very good team. We were better

Absolutely. We were quality right through the 11. Team effort with the talisman of Charlie as the wildcard.
 
Just LOVE IT. What a team that was. That away game was JUST amazing. You can't pick out anyone (apart from DJ's finest ever football match)!

Good point. You always think that Morgan would be a weakness but he never is. Probably had five or six years in an average Forest side prior to them coming good around the same time as us. That's why Leicester went out and got him shortly after.

Hmmmm, pity THAT family didn't otherwise we may still have been a Premiership side with a little spending.
 
From losing to us at the City Ground in September 2009,Forest played 19 more games at home.
Won 17 Drew 2
Scored 40 goals-Conceded 5
Didn't concede in last 8 games(so as the commentary said,over 12 hours!!!!!)
No wonder Billy boy was confident(as were the Forest fans.....my mate a big fan and they were booked up for a weekend London jolly)!!!
Interesting listening to GTF podcast on this,particularly re the League game at ours!!!
I certainly wouldn`t deny it ...as we had a few beers in The Fellows Morton and Clayton by Nottingham Station, prior to the game, my sole concern was that we held our heads high and didn`t let ourselves down!!!
We did precisely that!!!

What great memories of a great side , V4M those stats are crazy which makes our achievement even more incredible.
Fingers crossed in the long run Mr.Saddler is the man to bring those days back I for one am confident he is - UTMP ⚽️ 🍊
