For me, it really all depends on whether Critchley is going to be - a little belatedly - prepared to put his professional pride to one side and implement the changes we have all been crying out for him to make since the start of the campaign. His stubborness and unwillingness to act has, on occasions, been totally exasperating, and especially so when there appears to be no rhyme or reason behind his thinking, and he seems so loathe to alter his infuriatingly one-track approach when it comes to selection and/or tactical issues.
We are now in, what is commonly referred to as 'last-chance saloon'. We are clinging on to the shirt-tails of those sides looking to secure a place in the play-off chasing-pack, and the welcome three points we managed to secure at Peterborough this weekend may well prove something of an invaluable life-line.
There is a tough time ahead, but, as we have shown on countless occasions in the past, we are experts at coming through adversity, and with the right spirit and motivation, there remains a chance, no matter how remote, we could do so again.
For now, we need to put aside any differences we may have, and come together as one. Fully back the team, and hope against hope, after what has been a rather topsy turvy season, we may yet still mount a serious challenge for that elusive prize ...
