5th TEST

Eng unchanged. Anderson keeps his place.

Weather looks a bit dodgy for Monday with showers every day apart from tomorrow. Face value you win the toss and bowl. Surely England can't win the toss again?

It will be interesting to see how the teams play. I'd expect Aus to be more at it, but how will Eng react to OT? A bit deflated perhaps?

Looks like a genuine draw to me.

I think England will be out to prove a point and smash the buggas. 😂

Got to fancy England after the way they dominated the last test. Looks like cloud cover today so as already posted that might be enough to cause whoever wins the toss to bowl first. Neither side has much of a spin attack to boast about anyway.
Looks like there could be a lot of time lost to the weather again over the next five days, and a draw would be a great result for Australia of course.

It'll be a tough 1st session, conditions definitely in the bowlers favour. Time for Duckett to get more than single figures!

Looks a bit murky and the ball is moving. Australia will want at least two before lunch, probably more. A bit of a flat feeling with the Ashes lost due to bad calls by England in the first two tests. Would still be good though, to stop them closing out a series here yet again.

Completely agree.

Aussies having a shocker so far. Line wrong, not controlling the movement, a blown review and Warner dropping a routine slip catch. Hope it lasts 🙏

4,4,6 off last 3 balls of a 90 mph plus over from Stark.
I love Brook - he just doesn’t look like he’s going to bat for more than a session or two.

It’s like when you used to get excited when Flintoff or Botham got in. Now it’s our entire batting line up trying to.

Great session that. Like almost every session it's been back and forth and probably just about even. Both teams will feel they can take the game in their direction after lunch.

They're dropping like flies though here. At this rate it'll be five a side. Been a long summer for both sides already....... 😬

Loving this Brook and an injured Moen partnership. Favourite partnership of the whole series. Brilliant stuff.

It's a shame that could be Moen's last innings in test cricket*, always entertaining.

*We're going to win by an innings.

Yeah there was no coming back from the groin strain. Comms were asking why he wasn't going off rather than swinging to the hills. I guess that once he has a sit down and some physio that strain will feel worse. Great knock considering.

Looking good this. Brook is looking imperious.

Crap. I'm not posting again. Every time I do a wicket falls. Stokes looked like he was struggling to get going there. Played right across that. Shame.

Ooh er. OK let's try to get another 100 runs. That wouldn't be too bad looking at what the ball is doing.

With Bairstow gone, England 6 down and the ball moving about, I can't see us getting over 270. Brook and Woakes need a decent partnership.
