5th TEST

It's going to be a tight game with the weather. Monday is out, but Sunday also looking a bit glum with a 60-70% chance of rain all afternoon. Saturday should be fine.

You'd think then Eng need to be batting by 5 with a 50 lead and then need to give it the bish bosh bang.

On Root's catch. Good as it was, but having seen it (only once), shouldn't that have been the keepers? Can't believe Root would shout for it.

Root got Bairstow out of jail there. No question
 
It comes down to another mistake from Bairstow behind the stumps. Costing us far more than what he recoups with the bat.

I think it probably will be, but he has more wickets against India than any other international team.
He will I think want to try and get past 700 test wickets if he can.
I think he has bowled well in this series, and at around about his normal pace.
He has certainly been economical, which has given Stokes some control, and perhaps been a bit unlucky not to take more wickets. On the other hand he has been a bit lucky that Tongue hasn’t taken his place.
 
Looking back to earlier in the day, I've just noticed that Labuschagne batted for 2 hours for 9 runs! I thought he was meant to be good?

Not touched the stump before he collected the ball, if he hadn't done that, Smith would have been given out. The knives have been out for Bairstow all summer, he's deserved some criticism but the selectors deserve more, it's so obvious Foakes is a better keeper.

Well in your words I might not know fuck all about cricket but 2 things have lost us this series.

1. Failure to change the team around under par bowlers Jimmy needs to retire now from test match cricket he’s been a great bowler but the years have caught up with him now same for Moeen Ali past it same for Bairstow just how Foakes didn’t get a game is a complete mystery.


2. Bazball might look good in theory but sorry not for me we don’t have a plan B.

Oh and I predicted we’d lose the ashes before the first ball was delivered so I must know something about the game. 😉
 
It’s a great test match👏🏻 cricket at its best. Stokes catch is amazing. Good that only the silly 100’s now so we can concentrate on pools bid to get back up. UTMP

We haven't lost the Ashes as we didn't have them in the first place
