750 sold for tommorow

Just seen on Twitter that we’ve only sold 750 tickets for the Burnley game, and apparently Burnley have sold around 1,000

It will pick up tomorrow and I imagine people like still to pay on the day. Also to be sure its on.

But its not great and showing lots of people aren't really feeling the love for a friendly at these prices.

I dont think the cancellation for rangers and no money back for many has helped either.

This one is 15 but still for me was too high, even though I'm going, but for the masses and proving so.

But also its now in streaming too for 5.99.
Just read on the other thread it’s £15. Still too much for a friendly. Probably gone if I lived locally. £6 for a stream a bit much too but probably pay it

It would be interesting to know how many buy the stream too. But there are a few factors here I think, and a midweek friendly was never going to be well attended, not even if you gave the tickets away.

Thing is you can have a look at the players, 6 quid is... OK... but even better the more there are like a family.

It could cost a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 young kids 40 quid for tickets and then add in food and drink probably over 50.

So 6 quid there is a huge saving.

Ticket office wasnt open today again due to covid, but will be open tomorrow apparently.

Should be attracting a minimum of 4000 home fans for this friendly.
Hopefully a lot do come and the ticket office being closed is part of why its so low. People do like to come on the day.

If its like this then ill eat my words about price.... 😀

Yeah, if you are a family of four and not the only fan of football at in your house like me. I’ll still probably pay it cos I know the money will go towards the club but bit annoying after all last season’s friendlies were streamed free of charge

They didn't stream all last-season's friendlies free of charge.

Very poor figures. I would expect the club may be a bit concerned at the lack of interest for the only home pre season game .
I suspect that not signing any players that the vast majority have ever heard of is not helping to me encourage any excitement though !!

They are probably testing the streaming runs smoothly as well before the Bristol City match. A bit like a dress rehearsal

Will be getting mine today ,as will a lot more i suspect, not helped with the shop being shut as i will also be getting my refunds from the rangers game,as i purchased them from shop.

All that matters is number of season tickets sold and that’s gone well. Attendance at a pre season friendly is irrelevant and I don’t get all the judgement calls about how big the crowd should be and how anyone who isn’t going is making excuses etc etc
True Blood but also those calling for a cheaper price and probably wouldn't have gone anyway.

I have to admit. I’m a bit disappointed at only 750 but the club shop hasn’t been open at all for walk in sales hopefully today a few buy tickets. It’s a bit embarrassing there is a chance Burnley will have more fans than us in the ground. I’m looking forward to going it’s our first match in a long time, even just to see the players play live for the first time (this seasons and last season’s signings) it’s so much better in the ground to appreciate how good a player is as you get to be able to see what they are like off the ball

I wonder how many moaning on here about giving SS £20 to watch us play Premier league Burnley will gladly pay £30 plus to watch us at Bristol City.

Many exiles will not travel midweek for a friendly and some people will be on holiday with the kids. Others will still be a bit wary because we still have a proportion of unvaccinated people. And, as others have said, the closure of the ticket office will not have helped for the casual supporter.
Under normal circumstances I would have expected a couple of thousand home fans.

For fans that have been starved of actually going to very few football matches for such a long time there's a lot of excuses being made. UTMP
Agree we all know friendlies are poorly attended but the excuses are coming thick and fast just be honest like some on here you simply can't be arsed.

It's only Burnley is a classic that's one of those games as a youngster used to get the blood pumping.

My take, Simon Sadler kept the club going with no crowds and no match day revenue for a full season.
If £15 for a friendly against a Prem Club is too much don't go, it's not the end of the world.
What matters is the first home game against Cardiff, will have 10,000 plus and a great atmosphere.
The club aren't beyond criticism, but it seems some people have short memories and can't wait to get the knives out.
Will be great to see the team tonight, put faces to names, watch the game, see ongoing ground improvements and not be shaking my head in shame at a rust covered interior.
We've moved a long way under Sadler in a short space of time, long may it continue.

As I said earlier, there should be a minimum of 4000 home fans for this friendly game under normal circumstances.
Local derby, against a premiership side.
Couldn't ask for much more.

Its very unusual, and hope that todays uptake makes up for lost ground.
Clearly, the ticket office re-opening today, should help.

All those who bought tickets for the Rangers match will receive their money back…

That’s what you get at £20 a friendly
"But Simon Sadler has put lots of money in, AFC Fylde are cheaper so go and watch them, we are a Championship club that's the going rate, you shouldn't moan if you can't afford it, all you people complaining have money for other stuff . . . . "

The typical replies when I last posted about pricey tickets for the casual fan. Whether you agree or not the sales figures are proof enough for me the pricing is wrong. 😉

Are you sure Burnley have sold all there’s? They’ve been allocated 1000 and are still trying to sell them according to their site.

A lot of people are just not interested in pre season games and with the shop/ticket office being closed it can't have helped. I'm sure there will be plenty of sales today, I'll be signing up to watch the stream and hoping it is much better than iFollow.

As an exile it wouldn’t have mattered what the cost was or the opposition I decided well before any pre season matches were announced I’d give them a miss.Saving my energy and wallet for when the actual league football starts so roll on the Cardiff game. Will not be doing Bristol City, nor the Middlesborough game,3 home games in a week is just too much travelling these days for me especially with 2 evening ko’s.

For those going tonight I hope you enjoy the game, and I might yet pay for the Tangerine TV coverage,
