7500 season ticket's sold

Pricing looks about right to me in relation to championship football and sensible use of categories, age groupings and advance versus day purchases

How do they work that out when 8280 are sold on the grid? Im not having there’s 700 odd seats on the first two rows of the north. What gives?

Match day at band A & B seems fairly steep to me. But then again you’ve got to expect that to fund a successful club.

I think a lot regarding match day prices will revolve around how many they actually put in band A. If they get it right and it’s just games like PNE, WBA and Sheff U for instance I can live with that.

Agree with the point above I think it’s to get people used to buying a season ticket.

Its weird as I counted the actual ones gone and minused off the north front row seats and a south front row too.

I got about 7800 ish.

That's factual on the planner.

Unless there's more like in m that aren't actually sold but reserved and released as we saw for hospitality or whatever.

Also maybe ones given away in the kids stand not included? No idea if thats happened.

Its weird as the count I did won't include hospitality which someone said weve sold 400 ST's. So unless they haven't included hospitality as well.

But even without it there's a large number of seats showing as sold or unavailable.

One final explanation might be that the planner is a load of crap....

But its added up in the past.

Expected more season tickets sold tbh, but as was said earlier, maybe that’s plus corporate.

Looking at those prices, I’m glad I bought my season ticket.

Here’s a thought, maybe the club put off announcing the price structure cos of the moaners😯 it you choose not to get a season ticket then you either pay the match day admission or you don’t!! I was paying a lot more than than £30 at many championship grounds 7 years ago.

Why wouldn't they include hospy? It like saying they've only counted STH's over 5' 6".

No idea but if their figure included corporate then it makes even less sense to the seat planner.

With aprox 7800 gone on the planner, but only 7500 sold including a few hundred seats for corporate then there could be 6-700 seats showing as sold when they're not, with no logical explanation for that amount.

Unless some sort of social distancing has wiped out some rows..... 🤷

The SD is something I mentioned a few minutes ago. It would seem logical.

The club statement reads 'The Club is pleased to report that approximately 7,500 season tickets have been sold, with limited availability remaining in certain sections of the stadium.'

So it could be nearer 7,800. Also some seats may be reserved for family, staff or friends etc.

And as I've said elsewhere, doesn't include corporate seats and packages.

I think the prices are quite expensive for walk-ons. That said, there aren't many seats available in L,M.N blocks anyway so the number of £38/£50 seats to sell is minimal.

I think they'll split the categories based on away support so we can maximise revenue.

Why no prices for the East though? Am assuming away fans will be in the south end as block Y & Z are not on sale but hoped we'd got past the stage where parts of the ground are shut down.

No intention of putting home fans in the East unless some team rocks up with hardly any support on a midweek, and for those games there will probably be enough seats available in the other three sides anyway. If there's demand, then they'll open the North side of the East to home fans.

30 quid for cat A north stand matchday ticket, with all that's going on with pandemic and unemployment with money being tight for a lot of people, seems a bit mercenary to me - could deter people
Is money right though... everyone seems to be loaded at the moment....house prices are in the up which is a sure sign money isn't tight ..

Are you suggesting the whole of the East will be for away fans? Most teams will struggle to fill half the East.

I don't like the idea that we have to fill every seat before opening the East. The crap seats don't sell for a reason and it comes across as a bit Oystonesque.

Still has the north as 98% full. Bit disappointed we didn’t break 8,000 but I guess the pandemic putting a few off
Doesn't include corporate sales and boxes which they have only just started selling but expect most of them to be sold.

Most teams won't struggle to sell half the East at all. It's not League One.

And I can see the logic in selling out areas where you have stewarding etc sorted first before opening a new section with different access, turnstiles, stewards, catering etc.

I don't think the match day prices are that bad for 2nd tier football but by doing these categories whilst not announcing which fixtures fall into which category, it makes it impossible still to work out the value of getting a Season Ticket.

Doesn't include corporate
Then as said a weird announcement as you want to say how many guarenteed season tickets are sold, surely you'd say for example 8000 st sales including hospitality.

Also how do you know this?

They told us at the SD meeting the other night, I then asked if the figure included corporate sales and the answer was no and that the boxes/corporate had only just gone on sale. But they do expect it to sell out up there.

Let's be honest - The ST sales are not what the vast majority were predicting when a thread on this, was started a few weeks ago.

More of a concern to me, is I can't now see 2000 home fans will be regularly paying-on-the-gate, which many expected. Especially the half-hearted, and 2nd favourite club fans.

On the plus side, maybe the POTG price will tempt fans to now buy season tickets instead

Actually, social distancing makes no sense at all.

If we said 600 seats are missing then with their being 21 blocks available, you would have aprox 1 row socially distanced off per block.

This makes absolutely no sense as what does 1 row do, or that many seats spread throughout the block also makes no sense.

Also there will be no need for social distancing after the 17th and such a small number makes no difference.

Also if you look at block q which is still largely unsold there is no indication of any sort of seats left out, all rows are available, no pattern in that or any block of missing seats whatsoever.

Something isn't adding up.

Cheers, makes the counts only about 300 out then. Which is still odd, but might be explained by giveaways or reserved seats in m black also?

Also means we should have over 8k maybe once corporate taken into account?

Defo, although giving away supporters all of the east will bump up the average attendances if most teams fill it which I'm not sure all of them will. I did say that section should be open for our fans and that we should be aiming to fill it ourselves. Unfortunately they aren't sure if the demand is there. I asked what would happen if someone like Fulham or Posh don't fill East Stand(south) surely they won't let 2500 seats go unsold and they said they'll have to see when we get into the season. For me give the away fans half the east and Blocks Y and Z which is around 3000 and give us the North part of the East. Then use sponsored posts on their Facebook channel to fill that end or at least get a thousand in there.

Agree about the east and away fans in the east and corner and that strategy for home fans.

Do you know if there was any giveaways to school kids maybe and thats why the numbers don't match the 7800 ish counted? Seats reserved for players families? Or some other explanation?

With away fans in the South end of the East, I'm guessing the end block in front of the Corner Flag will be kept as a barrier zone.

Yeah but those seats weren't counted anyway so still doesn't explain the 300 or so discrepancy.
