How about for every £1million accepted as a parachute payment we deduct a point?

No footballer should be earning over £30,000/week full stop.Get rid of them. Clubs that get promoted should offer players contracts with relegation clauses so that the players take pay cuts and or can leave for a reasonable fee if relegated back to the Championship.
Nobody should be earning over 30,000 a week in the 2nd tier it's crazy and has a knock on effect for all the clubs when it comes to recruitment and ticket prices.
We know they earn crazy money I just had to draw a line somewhere to make the point. No footballer should be earning over £30,000/week full stop.
It's ludicrous.
mmmm...nope, won't bite.No footballer should be earning over £30,000/week full stop.
It's ludicrous.
Unfortunately we can't make regulations in this country that affect other countries. So if we capped salaries in England the better players would simply play elsewhere and we have a devalued product. Yes what the top players earn is mad, but so is the pay for CEO's and senior management in business. It's not just a football issue, but football can do certain things to offset the stupidity like total salary caps for example. No footballer should be earning over £30,000/week full stop.
It's ludicrous.
mmmm...nope, won't bite.
Well he can't argue the case now can heI blame Jimmy Hill.
