A trained soldier

Harry’s latest attack in his new book, claims that William grabbed him by his collar, ripped his necklace, and threw him to the floor, falling onto a dog bowl which shattered cutting his back. Shaken, he got up and told William to leave. This is his way of getting his brother and father back which he said he wanted to do this week.

I somehow don’t see Harry with his training meekly falling and not responding. If true of course, it’s dynamite, but again, he must know that if it wasn’t the end already with his family, it is now.

Shameful imo to do this to your family, and even worse that it’s for money.
It’s mental that anyone is bothered. Brothers do this up and down the country, hourly!

I remember fighting my brother and him slamming my head in the living room door. Does anyone wanna pay me a few million to write about my story? 🤣

I wonder which demographic he is playing to here?
We know the more mature and middle aged male of Avftt thinks the whole thing is a farce.
The couple of ladies (not really a large sample size I know) I discussed with did not jump to his aid (and had in the past in regards to his ‘family needs’).

So which demographic reads this and thinks “Oooh that Bill Windsor is a rum ‘un, poor Henry haven’t to put up with that!”?
Folk like recidivist

Like another poster said above, its all a bit brexit in terms of dividing views. I personally like Harry, it took a lot of balls leaving the royal family in that manner. With regards to making money out of them, I think I would do the same if my mother had been treated that shabbily and I was forced to walk behind the hearse in front of billions like a circus freak. Maybe William needs to grow a pair and stop being a patsy, being a future king sounds like hell on earth. Zero power, zero life all because of a misfortune of birth. Its cruel to have to go through it, wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. I've never fathomed why the public are interested and expect the royals to act in a certain manner, it's a modern day irrelevance.
I think the only similarity between this and Brexit; is people disagree (but we disagree on loads of other things).

It's far more like David Miliband v Ed Miliband, when Ed did the dirty on his brother. Ed tried to justify it in loads of different ways, but most of us, don't like seeing a sibling knife another one (metaphorically) in the back.

Harry, sadly, is heading the same way. He's taking a pop at his brother who went through exactly the same loss of his mum but has grown into adulthood; Harry seems stuck and is lashing out and those who held him closest.

Shame really.

Behind every good man, there’s a controlling woman.

BUT, without the sprinkling of the magic dust (which will keep the press interested) what are they?

Is far better that they are able to be interesting to the public, otherwise they are irrelevant, and at that point, it's a short hop to 'why bother.'

As with most institutions, they want good press, not bad press, they want to control what is said about them etc etc. They are no different.

Of course, but at least this way they got to have their say I suppose.
As usual the only winners, and probably the biggest original perpetrators, will be the febrile elements of our self regulating (🙄) papers.

William is ex RAF btw. Not sure what the forces has to do with him being pushed over? So much for wanting a quiet life?

It’s going to cost him a bomb (excuse the pun) in security at his home and wherever he and his family go after his insane brag about killing chess pieces.

As always, context, context, context. The 4 paragraphs culminating in this sentence were quite enlightening,, mentioning pointless deaths, civilians, etc. The comment about chess pieces came about as how he was trained to deal with the horror of killing people.

Interesting that when he was actually doing this stuff, the media were full of praise for his courage.

What is clear to me is that he is a very troubled man, who actually needs his family to help him come to terms with his traumas, not judge him by some centuries old conventions. There is normally a lot of support for those with mental health issues on here, but he seems to be condemned out of hand. Not very comfortable with this TBH.

I’ve absolutely no sympathy for him, he ditched his family and moved to America for the quiet life and expected to keep all the royal benefits, when those were taken away his boss threw her toys out of the pram and made the puppet cry about anything and everything in public. If he is in need of his family, he should have thought about all that, but he isn’t, this is all about money.

According to who? The Sun, the Daily Mail, Royal Correspondents, Royal Family hangers on, social media influencers who have the most unpleasant views?

He has reached out in private, and been rebuffed. He has seen his mother destroyed by the same coterie, he has seen his fellow royals get away with the most appalling behaviour (Andrew, Charles and allegedly William) and yet he is the one ostracised.

I know I'm in a tiny minority on this on here, I started out totally indifferent, but the more I see, the more I see the hatchet job that lead to his Mother's death again. I repeat, he is a man with Mental Health problems, but because he has money, most on here suddenly forget their core values.

I do wonder if he is suffering from PTSD from both his mothers death and his time in the army.
These “revelations“ defy all logic and will make him and his wife a pariah in the social circles in which they would hope to be a part of. Who is going to trust him ever if he can so readily turn on his own family, and what is he hoping to achieve from it (Apart from financially)?
He seems to be acting like a frightened animal lashing out. When his revelations don’t get the desired response they become even more extreme. And his army revelations, well surely someone somewhere must have warned him of the potential consequences of putting this stuff in the public domain or is there no one looking out for him. In which case I can’t help but have some sympathy for him.

Literally millions apparently, who have bought his book in the last couple of days.

As Richard Osman said, he's sold more than enough yesterday to be in the top ten bestsellers for the next year.

wow! Your agenda was already pretty obvious, but seriously do you think Andrew has got away with the most appalling behaviour? He's been crucified by the media and rightly so! Do you think Charles did at the time of his affair with Camilla?

Absolute nonsense from you!

Absolute nonsense from you!
In your opinion. And to fit your own agenda.

Andrew in particular has had a tiny amount of what H&M have had. As for Charles, I too am old enough to remember, and he had his sycophants rubbishing anything anyone dare say about the Heir to the Throne. His right to shxg anything he wanted. Actually, occurred to me that when the Monarchists get senior officers to attack H and the way he spoke, they were very slow to condemn Charles cuckolding a brother officer, something their code of conduct prohibits.

I've no agenda at all. I'm a monarchist, that is pretty obvious. But to suggest that Andrew has got away with it is simply laughable. Shunned by his family, stripped of his titles and lambasted by the media. He knows he's a pariah now! Everybody will have his sycophants. Blimey, the way some of you are talking, you could be Harrys.

It’s the same as footie Clubs - you support the team and Club for decades but you no idea what goes on in the Boardroom, Manager’s Office, Dressing Room etc - it’s just the same but duller
