Just can’t see how Hamilton didn’t have to give the place back he was the one who left the track while Verstappen stayed on it. 🤔

Even the race control fully are behind Hamilton and want to see him win it, that said he’s clearly in the faster car.

he was forced off by Verstappen. If he hadn't gone off the collision could have been much worse and potentially race ending for Hamilton. Verstappen knew that. As they said, no different to Brazil. The only question is how much of an advantage did LH gain?

Max late lunged and ran Lewis off the track, he had no right to make that move and rightly the stewards saw it for what it was, Max being a track bully. Makes for good viewing though, loads of time in the race, now it's all about strategy which it seems is also in Lewis' favour being on mediums.

But Verstappen had the high ground and got his nose in front.
Hamilton clearly gained an advantage in going off the track.

Hmmm. Not sure it was Max's space. You wouldn't be happy if someone did that to you on the M55 ;)

He wasn’t forced off, the gap was there Verstappen went into it no contact made. They are bending the rules to suit Hamilton yet again, just like they used to do for Schumacher.

Too much in my opinion. Should have been told to drop back to Verstappen
 
Race back on, Perez doing well for his team, it certainly seems as though the Mercedes has a bit more pace, unsure what tricks the Red Bulls have up their sleeves now.
 
Red Bull are petty enough to drag this into a legal battle if Hamilton ends up winning.

Hamilton had to race that first lap in the knowledge that Max is more than happy to take Hamilton out if given the opportunity. Verstappen's mentality can be pure win or crash.

Also, Perez ran off the track just now to retake position from Hamilton (the teal area is beyond the white line representing track limits), and has held him up by about 5 seconds. Pretty sure they are even now.

He's just not quick enough, Rosberg was, Button and Hamilton were great team mates, Button says he never had any trouble off Lewis at all, Bottas is just a waste of a car.
 
Game on again, Mercedes opting to stay out, Max has nothing to lose and can drain his new tyres trying to catch Lewis.
 
This is Texas in reverse now. 15 second gap. 18 laps.

Lewis caught him, but didn't manage to get past him.

A real safety car hands this to Verstappen.
 
Lewis driving well but will need to take care of his tyres. The back markers are now a problem for Max, if it costs him the same 2 seconds it did Hamilton, the only thing left then is a safety car or failure of some sort.
 
if it stays as it is, expect some serious whingeing from Verstappen. That said Horner is being very gracious.
 
So the title is decided by how quick they can clear the track, Christian Horner needs to get down there and drag that car off!!
