All Rhodes lead to Huddersfield

Would like to thank him personally if he does go back. Terriers have been class . IF we get the goals tally up because of Rhodes then thankz Huddersfield. And if keeps them in the Championsship then well done.

Will be absolutely gutted to see him go - think he likes it here , but not our player . One thing is for sure , we need an equal replacement if we are to succeed - don’t personally think we have enough

The issue for them is playing him enough so he can score the goals and I doubt they'll be doing that.

Many of their fans said he wouldn't suit their system as they played 1 up top.

I fully expect him to go back so if he stays it will be an incredible bonus. Imagine if we were struggling for goals and had a striker scoring for fun, we'd be screaming for the club to recall the player.

Indeed. I bet they use him off the bench.

Nixon desperately trying to justify his job.. absolute chancer and a tap in merchant when it comes to stories.
If JR does go back he won’t score many in the Championship either way.
Maybe at 33, they should be asking him what he wants to do
This is just more lazy journalism from Nixon - it’s common knowledge that there is a short recall ‘window’ within the upcoming transfer window. It’s also blatantly obvious that Rhodes who has whatever it is now, 13 or 14 goals in Lg1 might be recalled by his club who are struggling for goals. Whether a Jordan can do it to the same level in the Champ is a different question - remember Moore thought he was surplus to requirements at the start of the season. Anyone with half a brain could have printed what he has. It’s also worth noting that Clarke-Harris’s move to the Brizzle is off and 2 Lg1 clubs have enquired about him, one of which is supposed to be us. So, if JR does go back to Udders, it appears we have a plan in place.

It may or may not happen.
It maybe worth trying to get Beesley & Joseph together on the pitch abit more if chance arrives?

Instead of folk clutching at straws saying he likes the sea air, it should be upto him, he won't get the service etc etc, just leave it until the recall window closes and take it from there.
JR is under contract with Huddersfield Town and as such he'll do what they say.
You can bet you're bottom dollar that if he'd only scored 5 goals in all of his games there wouldn't be such a clamour to have him stay.
Same with Dembele, I fully expect someone to be knocking at Brests door asking about the availability of him come January too.
IF we'd have been higher up the league then maybe SS would possibly pushed the boat out to try and keep the two but as he doesn't come across as much of a gambler, hoping we get to the playoffs and then to win them maybe a step too far to take the chance.
If only we'd started the season better eh!!

You say “he doesn’t come across as much of a gambler “ yet in his hedge fund company, that is exactly what he does !

A hedge fund pools investors' money to make high-risk investments with the aim of making huge returns. Because hedge funds aren't heavily regulated by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) they can use risky investment tactics. They might borrow money, for example.

yes I do !

He's scored loads of goals and can only play for them or us this season. If you were Huddersfield, you'd be sending messages to us saying if you want to keep him then you need to pay up. Which seems to be exactly what they're doing.

Just answered your own question....pools INVESTORS money, not his own😉

Jordan Rhodes scored 9 goals in his last two seasons at Udders. They KNOW he can’t do it now in the Championship. If he stays, and Pool go up, he won’t do it for us either.

We should offer a transfer fee and offer JR an 18 month plus 12 month deal. The championship is worth £8million extra income. Its worth a gamble.
Can he play for another club aside BFC and HTFC? If so they may try and sell him to the highest bidder. Any club in league 1 would have him.

He is out of contract in the summer so surely Huddersfield should be trying to get some money out of it by selling him to us in January?
He cannot play for anyone else but them and us so it makes sense.

On the interview with Beesley (posted elsewhere) Rhodes talks about the next 2 away game and then being at home for the New Year's Day fixture. If he's being recalled you'd expect it to be with immediate effect once the window opens on 1st January. So either he's not been told, which you'd think is unlikely, or Huddersfield aren't as keen on the recall as it being made out.

Huddersfield away on NYD.

People ignore the player and his wages.
The thing is, scoring consistently at League One level is different than scoring consistently in the Championship.

Rhodes is happy here.

Think I read the recall clause isn't from Day 1 but Day X, Y or Z.

Rhodes would go back to a Huddersfield who play one up front, not his game at all. Terriers fans I've spoken to don't want him back; they want midfielders and defenders.

Moore released him from Wednesday.

He's out of contract at the end of the season.

The rumours out of Huddersfield have been planted to get us to up a bid in the window.

He won't be recalled.

Love to sign him but if he goes back wish him nothing but the best and hope we can get someone else in that isn’t Gary Madine

I think i read that they would make a decision mid January 🤔.

clarke - harris would be ideal but would he not be southern based which may be a stumbling block.

It's a game. They would be mad not to play it.

Possibly he is but he is clearly not in Posh’s plans and his options may be limited. If we could get him you would imagine he would score loads in our team

Indeed. I bet they use him off the bench.
But if they do he may go off the boil, also add in against better opposition. If he's only given bit part chances they probably won't get what they want from him and he doesn't have the pace, hild up play or energy to play a 1 up top role as efficiently.

He's settled here and it's working here, not necessarily elsewhere under a different atmosphere, pressure etc.
