All this board does is moan

Yeah I did watch the game, we were lucky it was 2-0, their players had better quality.

It's impossible for me to say what's the best formation against the Watford side today, nobody knows what's the best formation against this side, all you can do is try and pick a good side and learn from it. Was you moaning when we smashed them at Bloomfield?

This whole cardboard cut out thing is ridiculous. As soon as the players cross onto the pitch it's on them, you shouldn't be telling your players what to do from the side lines, they should know and be able to make their own choices, EVERY top coach says that if you watch much of the prem.

We have the smallest budget in the league. It is going to happen better sides beat us.
The smallest budget? Rotherham, Wigan?

I know we'll be down there but smallest....

We got in good money for critch and Bowler too than other clubs won't have had.

Literally, anyone's nan would be a better manager.

I know my nan would pick a Right Back as a Right Back.
I know my nan would start our top scorer.
I know my nan would not continue as normal after Watford bring on 4 subs.

Plus my nan actually has eyebrows, so that's another one up on Appleton.

It's not really a question of who will "make the players better".
Anyone who does the basics would already make the players infinitely better.
So there we go, no answer, well your nan or anyone, great analysis.

Connolly has played RB Everton under 23s and for us all season nearly. We don't know why Lyons was rested, does he have a knock? I'm assuming you're not in the squad so wouldn't know.

Do you know why Yates has been dropped?

Do you think we really had better options on the bench? Why weaken your strongest side.

Personal digs about appearance behind an anonymous account name, says it all about your character.

OK, so bottom three, can we moan if we end up in the bottom three?

Bowler and Critch money clearly invested in infrastructure, SS thinking long term not 12 months at a time. To get better championship quality players we need better facilities. This is just a transition period.

How do people not see that? Sometimes you take one step back to go two steps forward.

Well, there's probably a few more in and around ours. Lutons can't be that big surely.

Yes we have to over achieve but when all pulling in the right direction we do that with ease.

When playing to the strengths of our squad, fans behind a manager they believe in and get each other, we can do well, as proven.

The Bowler and Critch money going into infrastructure argument is false surely, they need to happen and rightly so, but these projects were planned and probably budgeted before Critchley suddenly and unexpectedly went, so that money was a bonus, the Bowler money part of the clubs strategy to sell on and reinvest.

It's just they had struggled to invest it and wisely, wages probably the main limiting factor.

The point about budget is valid, we're down there so it'll always be tough, but what we're seeing currently is we're not getting the best out of what we have, making the same mistakes over and over. We have DMs on the bench and yet play 2 young lads who at times can get bypassed for eg.

Who do you bring in?
Zobo, there is a process of selection and interviews based on potential new managers so it's not for me to randomly quote who I'd personally appoint without being involved in that process, we all know there is quite a few suitable candidates so you do your due diligence and find the right one, one of the reasons clubs sack managers in our postion is that the club needs a lift and change of direction when you're hurtling towards relegation with the current manager, sure we have one of the lowest budgets in the division, but it didn't stop us doing well last season and beating some of the top sides in the league and finishing in a healthy position whilst playing some excellent football, none of us know the truth what goes on behind closed doors involving the dynamics between manager and players but the evidence we see in terms of performance, tactics, selection, motivation and general game management from Apples is not exactly inspiring, hence we have a MB in meltdown because as fans we see this club sliding down and heading to League One.

We weren’t unlucky and deserved to lose.

You also mention about learning from mistakes. That is the biggest flaw of Appleton’s reign. He doesn’t learn from mistakes otherwise he wouldn’t have picked that side yesterday. It’s quite clear Carey and Patino in the middle and Madine upfront isn’t working. That’s before we start talking about him playing strikers on the wing but thankfully that looks like a thing of the past.

The best way I can sum Appleton up is the fact I wouldn’t be surprised if he plays Madine again upfront against Huddersfield and throws in Beesley at right wing for good measure. I just can’t and never will relate to his tactical decisions. I can take losing but not when it’s clear we aren’t picking our best side.

Josh Bowler on loan
A top rated city winger on loan
CDM we've been crying out for

Lose to a top championship side and its melt down. Embarrassing.

In what world is Appleton being sacked when they've just backed him in the window. SUPPORT the team.
Grayson was sacked after getting 4 points from 27, also right after he was heavily backed in the window.

That's rubbish and Lytham is absolutely correct. Pep, Klopp, Arteta to name but three, coach all the time from the touchline during a game. So MA has got it right, and these guys have it wrong then? Keeping with MA is sleepwalking to L1. Smart sides take action - sometimes too hastily, but often in time to stop the rot.

I keep hearing this smallest budget in the league thing. It's likely true, or at least one of the smaller budgets, but surely that just strengthens the argument to replace the manager? If you have the smallest budget for players, it's absolutely vital that you get the managerial appointment right. Someone who is a good fit for the club, can make a team better than the sum of its parts, and can outthink many of the other managers in this league. The manager appointment is what will allow us to compete in this league.
Appointing MA against the fans wishes was moronic and exacerbates the gap between our finances and the rest, rather than negating it.

I can't read this, where are the full stops or punctuation.

1. If Bowler was any good he would have been playing for Olympiacos
2. City winger is just another kid.
3. The CDM we have not even seen play yet
Jesus christ, if Bowler was any good? You realise we'd be in League 1 if it wasn't for Bowler last year?

"City winger just another kid" exactly what I meant in the post. We've seen a glimpse of a lad from the best team in England, who's actually played for City and we write him off. It's pushing the negative narrative.

The CDM proven to be championship quality as recent of 2021 and all Norwich fans are singing his praises on the announcement post

Who do you bring in? Who wants to take this side down for no money?

This whole narrative of give it Charlie Adam, GTF or Dobbie is mental.
Liam Manning would be worth a shot. Yes he was sacked by MK Dons but his team had been decimated by outgoing transfers. He did well last season and with Lommel in Belgium. At least he has had some success unlike this clueless pillock.

Not heard of him, do we want MK Don's rejects?...

The Reality is they were both peanut amounts, when you calculate the cost of our non playing injury list which continues to grow !

We got upto 2m for Critchley and 4m Bowler, set to rise to 6 potentially in the future.

So not peanuts at all, the money were paying to sick notes will be nowhere near that.

I think our budget now is considerably better than it was in our Prem promotion year. If there’s one set of fans who should be able to see beyond the financial aspect it’s us

well don't bother reading it then because you've never had anything useful to say anyway.
