No, but it was offered on the basis that they wouldn’t welch.
The ONLY possible way you can make that agreement ‘official’ is by an exchange of details.
Which is precisely what the two of them went on to agree. In fact the deal they settled on was that n the basis of details being exchanged (BEFORE) the end of the season.
That did not happen, so the bet is void….as the agreement they reached was not fulfilled by the knobber.
He knew he’d agreed to exchange details before now… you don’t forget that…. He’d not forgot to come on today had he?
The knobber is a shyster…. Waited till he won and then came on. Has he lost we’d have never heard from him again
By contrast GB has been on here (when Preston were ahead) chasing the knobber to complete the agreement!!!

The one thing learnt from this is if a bet is to be taken bank details need to be agreed and swapped before the bet comes into play otherwise the bet will not be alloed to go forward. As for whether the bet was lost or void, I know what my feeling oin that are.

That depends… If the arrangement that the pair of you settle on is that bank detsils will be exchanged, then that’s the deal that both parties need to honour.
If the arrangement is simply that you take your chances and hope that an anonymous internet user doesn’t have you over, then that’s your choice.
In this instant your fellow supporter had more than enough opportunity to honour what he had agreed to.

You really are thick- try & understand, he never contacted me from just before the start of the season but did after the final whistle, he wouldn’t answer pm”s & any correspondence was only from me, pm or on this thread for anyone to see,also I was non aggressive with all my posts to him, all I asked was to go by the rules he set ( as above)

There is absolutely no evidence to suggest that Pringle wouldn’t have paid up other than pure conjecture. I don’t really care if he pays him or not but to suggest Pringle welched is a bit of a nonsense.

Most likely would never have been seen again had it gone the other way.
Had they exchanged some details and agreed it was real id agree to to honour it. But he didn't come back to do that until today.
So it's a load of crap.

Why do people get so emotional over a bet, it's not like in person where you might shake on it.
Its online and you have to have some credible way of making sure the random username is for real. He offered the guy a fair chance to exchange bank details. So he knew should he win he'd get it too, he never came back.

The terms that they settled on are an absolutely fundamental condition of the agreement. Graham opened negotiations with an offer of a bet and then they settled the terms on which they agreed to proceed (those terms in their entirety are the agreement between the parties)
Had Pringle not suggested that they would swap details before the season ended (which it has) (and that’s not my opinion, it a material fact), then Graham may well have sought some other mechanism to ensure nobody could just ‘disappear’.
Pringle literally signed up on the 17th June 2021, wrote one line (which specified that they would swap details before season end and then never said another thing)… Graham accepted those terms.
Graham has then tried to contact Pringle to resolve and give him the opportunity to finslise the arrangements as they agreed.
It’s not even up for debate ….

Yep summed it up there, its the only way to make it official when dealing with a random username who can just disappear and yet they offered and agreed to exchange details before the conclusion of season, to make sure the bet was going to be honoured.
