Anyone else doing Dry Jan?

I’ve had Lucky Saint on draft in a pub - very good.

Point of order (or a query in fact): I thought all the classifications of 0%, 0.3% and 0.5% etc were essentially saying ‘alcohol free’ rather than specifying small alcohol contents. So basically a ‘may contain nuts’ type disclaimer for a product that they don’t believe contains any at all. Do we think that’s right?

I believe after reading today anything up to 0.5% is classed as alcohol free - as a ripe Banana can contain more alcohol!!!

So I get the nuts analogy, but I think it's a bit more than that.

Just ordered
Let us know what you think 👍

I only had a couple of bottles as i am trying loads - but a case will be ordered this weekend 😂

Try the Helles one as well mate, you will not be disappointed 👍

Tried the Gordon’s 0 Gin.
It was on offer at Tesco for £12.

Dont bother, you may as well just drink Tonic water with ice and lemon.
Has anyone seen Guinness zero on the shelves?
Had one on promotional offer and was really impressed. Not seen one since.
Shipyard low tide is OK at 0.5.

With postponement of Barnsley game now extended to this Weekend.

I managed to get a case of Guinness Zero here in Singapore and it is very good, although only one stockist I know of - but it's easily available - however I can't find anyone who stocks Shipyard low tide here 👎

So the results are in.....

After trying over 50 alcohol free Beers, Ciders and Stouts, this is my Top 5 in reverse order!!!!!

5 Cider - https://www.sheppyscider.com/cider-range/low-alcohol-classic-cider/

Notes: As a non Cider drinker, this tasted just like the Cider I remember - and you cannot say fairer than that.

4 Carlton Zero -Not sure if available in the UK

Notes: Considering the alcohol version is not great, I am amazed at this - another crisp beer that just tastes like it is full of alcohol.

3 Guinness Zero - https://www.guinness.com/en-ie/our-beers/guinness-0.0/

Notes: GOBSMACKED: You can see why it is hard to come buy and fly's off the shelves - they have nailed it!!!

2 Nirvana Bavarian Helles - https://nirvanabrewery.com/collections/all-products/products/bavarian-helles-lager-0-3-abv

Notes: This could easily been number 1, it was that close - a proper crisp German Beer that tastes and feels like a German Beer!!

1 Luck Saint Larger - https://luckysaint.co/

Notes: WOW - Easy drinking, tastes like beer, in fact it is better than many many full alcohol beers I have had. Very Crisp!!!! NAILED!!!

Lucky Saint is also available on draft in many pubs in the UK.

Anyone got any others I have missed????????????

Last day today. Anyone else stuck with it?
Looking forward to a couple of bottles of Hen Harrier tomorrow evening.😀
Lost 12 lbs.

I’ve now got back to walking/running 5k since I replaced by broken Fitbit with Apple Watch.
So that’s most of January.
And I can still have a drink when I feel like it.
