Anyone still going to Carlisle ?

Purely for a day out yes and somewhere in between I'll be watching a Blackpool team muddle their way through a game of football for 90 minutes

There will be a good following.
Ignore the Firestick fannies on here.

They were first to take notice of a Derby fan quoting only 600 away tickets sold when we took over double that.
And it was me that many doubted when l posted that Sarah in the club shop told me that nearly 1200 had been sold, she actually said 1100 but 1200 sounded better and the actual figure was 1207. Yet some on here and one negative miserable numpty took great pleasure in posting the Derby fans figures 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Thankfully it will only be my third away game this season due to work commitments, was hoping we’d be in a much better position with something to play for but still gunna go.

Aye, my last chance to see an away win this season. I am going to Reading but don't think we'll get anything because it's away and last day of the season, oh and I'm going. 🙄

Reading are resurgent.

My Royals pal says they are trying to fill their soulless arena for the final game of the season!

Would have been a tough ask going there and needing a result.

I’m going
My 7th away game of season

Wins at Barnsley and Shrewsbury
Draws at Fleetwood and Oxford
Defeats at Bolton and Cambridge

So this is the decider

And how many would have gone if the football was half decent? Last time I went Brett Ormerod scored 2 and we took nearly 3000 from memory

Charlton & Fleetwood - draws
Wolves, Bolton, Burton, Port Vale, Orient & Wigan - defeats

This doesn't include the 10 games between watching us win 3-2 @ Reading in the Championship without a win.

Unfortunately the only thing Carlisle will decide for me is if I am a confirmed Jonah! 😂

Taking my Carlisle tickets and coach ticket back as I decided yesterday to book a holiday to Benidorm for a week from the 10th 😁😁😁😁

I'll be there, en route to a couple of days in the Highlands and reliving Dave Linighan's thunderbolt header during the Allardyce early season 👍

In the nicest possible way, and I’m sure you’re a lovely lad, and I wish you no ill will but please stay the fcuk away from Carlisle 🙏

Think I would rather be stuck in Primark on a roasting hot summers day with no water. If people just going for the crack, then fair enough but you surely wouldn't go because of the football would you..... Blackpool Nil.

3 going.
Seen us win at Barrow and Barnsley so to keep that train of thought they will be called Barlisle for the day.

Every credit to those that will travel; I really hope the team rewards that loyalty.

I've been to BP a few times and it's usually a close game with a good atmosphere.

NC's tactics do not deserve the level of support that our fans provide away from home.

Me and my boy , but being able to see the top of one the floodlights at Brunton Park out of our kitchen window we don’t have far to travel for a game ( for once ) 👍🏻

Yes 6 of us going in the hope of a good day out!

We must be mad because we can not justify it for our combined away footballing experiences this season which have been shambolic!

2 of us going up on the train and having a few beers.
Which are the best pubs to drink in? Not been up there drinking before.

Imagine being told after that match that the march to the premiership was about to begin.
Wouldn’t have believed it although I remember we looked like we had something about us but no way would you have convinced anyone what was coming in the next years to come.

Coming out of the train station on the corner is The Griffin ( recently refurbished and is pretty ok now ).
The road running to the right of the Griffin is Botchergate , where you’ll find several pubs. Only decent ones really are Lloyds and William Rufus ( both Wetherspoons ).

Chances are though, the police will try and escort you around the crescent ( facing you as you exit the station ) and on to Warwick Road.
If that’s the case, the Crescent bar is good., as is Bar Solo on the corner
Turning right onto Warwick road you’ll find the Andalusian , which is a nice pub, as is Barton’s Yard anchored to the Halston Hotel pretty much next door.

If you go round the crescent , but instead of turning right onto Warwick road go pretty much straight on, onto Lowther Street , the Last Zebra is only a handful of establishments down , and is a nice pub too.

If you’re escorted down Warwick road the only place really for a pint pre match is in the Rugby Club on the left, just before Brunton Park.
* Alternatively, there’s Stoneyholme Golf Club on St Aidans Road, on the way to the ground. Google directions, and check opening times too.

Doubt they’ll let you in the Beehive, as that’s traditionally a ‘home’ supporters pub pre match.

Plenty of pubs to pick from, but they are my recommendations.

Hope that helps
