Now we have a chance! Not sure who's available or who's near a contract end but I'd like an ex player that's got tangerine blood. Evatt?
Voiciferous - I actually like that.Good voiciferous crowd on Saturday, lets make it the homecoming part 2.
COYP.
A shiver has just gone down my spine. Stop it.I hear Paul Ince has an eye on the job
"Debbie" does Blackpool !!! Can't wait to see that .Thank God!
it does sound like there’s someone coming. Might be a case of Debbie for Saturday or something
You can see where my mind is atShe's busy in Dallas.
After the Wigan game, we had previously beaten Preston and Coventry and weren't doing too badly if you compare it to now. With 20/20 hindsight, whatever the decision now, the Board has been indecisive. Since Appleton has gone, why not in November, before the World Cup? As many have said, after Wigan? We have lost two months of the season and half the transfer window. Which makes it harder for the new chap.
Perhaps they were persevering with “the plan” until MA’s attitude might have made it clear that he had virtually given up, as TAM suggested?
Good. Too little too late.Just been told
Eh? Did he not realise we wouldn't want him?I feel sorry for Appleton, it wasn't his fault he got appointed against the fans wishes. It just hasn't worked out for him but more importantly for the club so he had to go
Yes, you have a point. As I said... with 20/20 hindsight. After the Wigan game, we had previously beaten Preston and Coventry and weren't doing too badly if you compare it to now.
Also wouldn't say we have wasted the transfer window, Bowler and Rogers are good additions, and getting rid of Wright and Corbeanu weren't bad ideas.
Sadler et al do seem to like going back for ex managers. Both have been disastrous.Depends. If it's Ollie, then the gate could be lower, lol.
Dave, I think they should be aware that every Blackpool FC forum and media platform has been in meltdown for the last couple of months. I'm staggered that they have taken this long to act when it's been patently obvious for a fair time he wasn't up to it.They've been aware of this board and it's reaction.
Maybe they listened to us?
They couldn't ignore us forever.
You can be as aloof as you like if youre winning….I have a certain amount of sympathy for him. He was the wrong choice to begin with and didn't have an easy ride due to fan bias and obviously the number of injuries. That said he didn't help himself, he was in some respects his own worst enemy, which was highlighted in the Watford game when he had two goalscorers sitting on their backsides but didn't bring them on until the game was lost. It was in some respects the straw that broke the Camels back with me.
I noted his inaction on the sideline some weeks ago and commented on it on here, and have seen someone else saying similar about his stature and seemingly aloofness from the players during the game and that did worry me but it confirmed what I had seen and said.
Hopefully the players will respond to the crowd on Saturday, who I expect to be noisy again. and whoever is in charge of the team will choose the correct players for the correct positions. I look forward to seeing who our new man/woman? will be and wish the departing duo all the best for their futures.
Come On You Pool.
My dog's called Debbie."Debbie" does Blackpool !!! Can't wait to see that .
Is she available?Thank God!

They need someone to take training is probably the easy answerNew walk out music.
Richard O'Donnell the other coach. Why has he not gone?
FS, agree completely.Dave, I think they should be aware that every Blackpool FC forum and media platform has been in meltdown for the last couple of months. I'm staggered that they have taken this long to act when it's been patently obvious for a fair time he wasn't up to it.
They'd been listening to Phil saying he needed time & backing & whilst there is some truth in that, the team selection & sub timings etc on Saturday completely made my mind up. Initially I was for giving him another few games to see if the newbies made a difference with him in charge. In doing that we would have only about 14 games left to salvage something & probably cut adrift by then.FS, agree completely.
What the hell have they been waiting for?
Quite honestly I'm prepared for relegation. They'd been listening to Phil saying he needed time & backing & whilst there is some truth in that, the team selection & sub timings etc on Saturday completely made my mind up. Initially I was for giving him another few games to see if the newbies made a difference with him in charge. Have faith in whoever is brought in. We’ve got some time yet, although not as much as I’d have liked.Quite honestly I'm prepared for relegation.
It's not a matter of 'giving up', more 'realism'.
I just can't see us saving this.
However, I don't want my last days etc to be in League 1.
