Where do we go from here?
He should’ve learnt from Sunderland away that playing Madine as lone striker with Jerry and Lavery as wingbacks simply does not and will never workwill he go 4-4-2 on Boxing Day or keep this 4-1-1-1-2-1 going?
That should definitely be the nail in his coffin then, cause even a clown like u can seeI've been willing to give him a fair chance and was quite happy with his appointment, never understood the reaction to it, but looking back now, I can probably think of 4-5 times this season I have left the game thinking 'That was one of the worst performances I have ever seen from a Blackpool team'
It can't be a coincidence I suppose...
Chizzy said he was concerned about the players body language at the end of the first half - looking lost!I have not been calling for Appleton to be sacked but,
What happens if we bring in players and as a team we perform as we did first half?
What then?
I have seen some poor displays but that first half they really looked like they weren't playing for their manager.
I was there yesterday and these are my sentiments too. That first half was woeful and on another day we’d be down 3-0 by HT.I have not been calling for Appleton to be sacked but,

2 draws & no wins in 6 games - 2 points from 18, reads even more worrying! If anyone thinks that was a good point yesterday are deluded, unbeaten in 2 matches - (2 points out of 6) is relegation material. That tackle from Madine was out of frustration more than anything else. If anyone thinks the players are playing for the manager - give it a rest, that was the most dour first half I have seen from a Pool Team, ok it improved a little but we were lucky to get a point. The manager plays the same formation week after week despite piss poor results. If we don’t change anything we are sleepwalking back to League 1.
Brilliant post @Tiptree Tangerine and it's where I think we are. It's the fact the football is as bad as the results. Under Critchley, even during that bad run when he first came, you could see the potential .. if anything under Appleton even taking in to considerations the injuries, we look a lot worse! The vote so far is pretty damming, which reflects our current form
- We have managed 4 shots on target in the last 4 games
- We have scored twice and conceded 8 and only picked up 2 points in our last 6 games
- He has lost the fans, generating negative chanting away and a totally flat atmosphere at home
tbh if they read this place they are more likely to keep him. I think players look on here and will have gathered the depth of the Anti- Appleton movement and such a mood is likely to carry forward with them more.Let’s hope bullshit Ben reads this board and see’s 80% of the fans want him out.
Possibly.Let’s see how we perform against Hull and Sheffield United.
It will be a toxic atmosphere in front of Sky TV cameras if we lose both.
The board will have little choice but to sack him.
Boxing day is normally horrible for us. Think 2006 was our last win.
Going to be mental if we lose that now.Don’t forget we face Hull with a new Manager.
Rosenier ( sorry spelling) who most thought would be our next Boss
Who else should web blame?More bleating.
Pile on the Scapegoat.
fuck off nobber.
Jeez, I've disagreed with you so much recently and I struggle to fathom why you fail to see a manager and a team that is desperately struggling and needs quality players rather than injured players who basically aren't good enough anyway. But you are spot on, we don't support managers, we support Blackpool FC.I have supported him and will carry on supporting him while he is in the chair. Do I think he should still be there ,probably not , but he is. So ,if he can turn it round then that's great ,if he can't and he is replaced .I don't think thats good for the club ,but I would support the next guy . I don't support managers ,I support Blackpool.
Who we are? He's not done well. Only a handful of decent performances, a lot have looked disorganised.I think he should be given a chance.
He's done quite well so far, considering who we are, and considering how competitive the league is this year.
It was a joke "considering who we are" and having no idea how "competitive the league would be this year" are both Appleton lines (excuses). It's sad that there isn't a sarcasm button on avftt.Who we are? He's not done well. Only a handful of decent performances, a lot have looked disorganised.
Far too many times we've looked awful in a half, come out like shit or at times the whole game.
