No, it's the Daily Mail's window roundup. Not a Gaz C&PPaper is reporting that Nixon is reporting it. Nothing else

It’s C&P from what Nixon saidNo, it's the Daily Mail's window roundup. Not a Gaz C&P
I think he has one friend (The little chippy fella that looked like "Face" out of the A-Team, who was his assistant in his Month with Blackpool), which in fairness is a step up from 'No-Friends' Critchley, but a Manager does need some personality. He doesn’t need charisma. He may have a flat personality. People who know him may think otherwise I’m sure he has friends .
He comes across as a serious professional. He’s had success as a manager .
It’s not Tinder.
I'd expect that Bolton, Evatt and Blackpool would all remain very tight lipped about any contact over the Blackpool job until a deal was done.... So if we were in discussions it certainly wouldn't be on Alan Nixon's radar for example.Appleton would be a massive backward step. Aside from the fiasco of his last appointment with us, he hasn't actually achieved anything significant despite him being an allegedly outstanding coach.
Evatt is now a proven manager who would bring back a massive feel-good factor to the club, however the longer this saga goes on I fear that the club isn't interested in his services.

I don't want to go on a date with the Manager, but I do want fans and players to feel inspired by him... It's necessary to create a proper buzz...
The best description I can give of him is that he reminds me of the music they play in the background at Morrisons Supermarkets
If he hadn't done his research before he took the job it does suggest a lack of preparation which I'd suggest is , if carried over into a management role, is a sufficiently negative trait to make him undesirableWhy such a negative reaction to Appleton ?
He left after a few weeks having sussed the Oystons out, declaring that “ Blackpool FC is run on a day to day basis”. He happens to be a very good coach, and has plenty of contacts in the game. Pool could do far worse.
That’s the **Ashley Westwood?
Poisoned chalice ??? No recruitment ??? It’s June 10thI can't see Evatt happening.
Just because he played for us a few years ago it doesn't mean that he would want to give up his security and prospects at Bolton - an arguably bigger club in terms of infrastructure and fan base - to come to what looks a bit like a poisoned chalice with us. At Bolton he should be challenging for promotion or at least in the top half with a squad that he knows and chose.
We look set to struggle this season, the negative factors are; second season syndrome, manager disruption, no recruitment during the summer so far and a limited wages and transfer budget. Whoever gets the job will have a challenge. If Evatt accepted it is quite conceivable that he would be unemployed this time next year and with a failure on his otherwise impeccable CV.
Rosenior would be my choice out of the candidates we know about, Appleton second choice.
Bit negative for you that....I can't see Evatt happening.

I'm am generally positive about things BFC, particularly now, but from Evatt's perspective things could look like this and that is why I believe that he is not interested in the vacancy. He probably backs himself to get Bolton promoted next season.Bit negative for you that....
There's still plenty of positive's at Blackpool F.C. and whilst we might not have the mega budget, we are well run and provide a platform to support success..... I think we possibly underestimate the utter shit shows that exist even at some of the bigger, higher spending clubs.... You can get a long way in football just by doing the basic things well enough....
It’s bullshit really….“Appleton seems a strong candidate and it appears that both parties are keen”.
That’s worrying
Michael Appleton in the frame for Blackpool job after Lincoln City exit - The72
Michael Appleton 'is in the frame' to become the next Blackpool manager, says Alan Nixon via Patreon.the72.co.uk
He was coming from Portsmouth and not being being paid wagesIf he hadn't done his research before he took the job it does suggest a lack of preparation which I'd suggest is , if carried over into a management role, is a sufficiently negative trait to make him undesirable
It doesn’t sound like he was particularly invested in football generally though to have been so ‘in the dark’He was coming from Portsmouth and not being being paid wages
Blackpool was a slightly better option
In that case I’ll bow to your better judgement and move him up to second last on my short list of 100He ain’t a dud
Really who cares about derby anyway let me know when Appleton gets the nodReally??? You need to research that theory. He’s the only one who genuinely knows what’s going on at Derby for a start.
Ashley Westwood if memory serves correctly. Was he the one who upset Ollie by staring at him at Palace away?
