I'd rather attend a Blackpool home match rather than visit somewhere like Reading or Stoke so it really depends on the opposition eg Wigan away sounds more appealing than QPR at home

aways 💯.
The whole day. Even after a defeat you end up putting the game to rights on the journey home or in the boozer if staying over.

Home games for me. Because it is exactly that, Our home. The vocal support is better away. And tbh I don't get to many away.

Home games for me overall. Whether or not though that’s because I don’t go week in, week out I am not sure.

Do like the local Lancs derbies though of course for aways.

However QPR on a Tuesday night away is knowhere near as exciting, even though we did win 1-0. But that could also be a midweek affect.

You don't tend to get the D&G crowd away from home (certainly the further up you go!) and the food is infinitely better!

Away following always more fun and up for it - any positive result is a great day, and you go half expecting to get beat, where as at home you feel anything but a win leaves you a bit flat when walking out.

Yes. Although home games are a 6 hour round trip on unreliable British trains, so that plays a huge factor

Away days have a bigger pay off when you win, but it's also horrible travelling back when you've lost. The risk and reward makes them much better.

Losing a home game is shit obviously but you're back in pub within 10 - 20 minutes, but the buzz of winning also wares off quick just like the pain of losing. The buzz of winning an away game lasts all night.

I'd say I prefer away games, home games have a routine feel to them whereas away games are a bit more spontaneous in what happens throughout the day.

An away win is definitely the best feeling in football, you rarely expect a win away from home so when you get one it has that extra buzz. Also the whole day is a good laugh with friends/family and after a win the travel home is just a big celebration, I also enjoy the atmosphere more on an away day inside the ground. The only downside to aways are sometimes the travel is long and tiring and the price of the travel can be ridiculous at times

Love a away game, esp finally if staying for the weekend. Generally meet a lot of decent opposing fans and chat pre/post game. Have a few beers in somewhere new and generally more of an atmosphere at away games IMO
Not really arsed about chatting opposition fans. Infact I couldn't give a shite about that.

But agree with the rest though.

Football is my day off. I don't play golf etc etc but I luv supporting the Mighty.
A good away day is top of the list for comradary, supporters and genuine good guys . A Win away is tops!! So Away everytime ,although I travel 70 miles e way to our home games . UTMP

Atmosphere at hone is excellent. Atmosphere away is better. Of course it does depend on the opposition and how the game pans out. Atmosphere at home is pretty much constant. Atmosphere away does depend on opposition. For me Blackburn away is always a great day out. Does else have favourite away fixtures?

I'm always a lot less nervous at an away day for some reason and the result doesn't seem as bad if we lose. So yeah away for me.

I always travel to away games by car and there's nothing worse than facing a journey home (after you've got out of the car park}
if the result goes against us 👎

Love an away day especially if a ground I haven’t visited or not for a long time. Remember Barnet a long time ago. Sticks in the mind for some reason.

Away days for me, just purely for our amazing away fans and the atmosphere they drum up, (even though I’m an exile and BR is technically an ‘away day’ for me) you just can’t beat going to another teams ground and drowning out their home supporters.
