Armand back?

I've seen several posts recently which have expressed concern (quite rightly in my view) that we are short of cover in the CF position. As someone has said, he is already proven at this level, so I'm another vote for having him back if it is possible. Yes he wanted to leave, but he seems to have discovered the grass isn't always greener elsewhere. Lesson learned perhaps? If our crosses continue to improve, he would certainly make an impact in my opinion.
Edit - his defending at set pieces is better than any of the current team when coming back to defend corners in particular, from which we have conceded against the run of play several times.

The sort of player who can create a goal out of nothing whilst also wasting 3 clear cut chances in the same game. With the quality we possess at full back and on the wings I’d absolutely love him back. He’d score goals and hopefully under Critch he wouldn’t be plan A,B,C and D as he was under Grayson. Certainly fun to watch and would add to the conversation on here too !!

Considering how few goals are in this team, we should be making every effort to bring him back.

And there’s not a chance in Hell that Wolves would be interested if that’s what he’s insinuating

If you could combine Madine's close ball control with Gnanduillet's skills you would a really decent big striker. Madine is out of contract at the end of the season so the club must be looking at that as well. We are also lacking a Billy Sharp / Kevin Phillips type of striker

The guy is like Bambi on ice generally unless the ball is zipped into him from the kind of crosses we never make anyway, so why would Critchley want a known discontent back at Blackpool? The Turks probably thought they’d acquired a footballer and soon located the exit door for him.

I'm unsure if we'd see anything reminiscent of the Armand of last season if he was to return. Our entire squad was built around him, get the ball to Feeney who had the season of his life with his delivery planting them right on Armand's head to put away - it was also the season of Armand's life with the most goals he ever scored in one.

That tactic was found out by December and we didn't win a game until February. Armand scored 1 goal between the 8th December and 7th Feb. I don't believe he is the answer to our prayers unless we reverted back to Grayson-ball, which as I just pointed out is easily nullified. I have faith that we will find a decent striker that fits into our system and alongside our current crop, that isn't Armand Gnanduillet.

If I am wrong and Gnanduillet returns, I'd love nothing more than to be proved wrong and he bangs 'em in once more. Der Der DerDerDerDer 🎷

I reckon I could pick almost any striker and say "between these two arbitrary dates they didn't score many"

😛🤪😛

🧡Armand🧡

Didn't the South Africans botchtheir foreign players quota which meant he couldn't play? I thought that was the reason he returned to the UK
They signed too many foreign players, so they decided to get rid of the worst one after 6 weeks of training trials and practice matches. He then came back to us cap in hand after previously refusing a contract extension. We shouldn’t fall for the same trick twice.

Not sure I agree that they are arbitrary dates as they are the exact dates in which we didn't win a single game for 9 weeks.

I think that highlights that fact teams sussed out we went from Feeney -> Armand, and once they stopped that, the wins and the goals stopped. Hence that awful run. On the 7th December he scored his 11th goal, from there he only scored 4 more all season (albeit cut short).

I am by no way an Armand hater, he was brilliant last season but I just think it was a perfect storm for him, I certainly don't think he is a 15-goal-a-season-striker as that is him at probably his all time best in a squad that only seemed to try and score through him.

So the goals he scored were all shit?
(flakey)?
I just never rated him, you can't argue about his goalscoring but as a player he just wasn't my type and wouldn't fit into our system. He keeps leaving everywhere too and he didn't get the move he was expecting to a Championship club either. So there is something not right there. Flaky? Absolutely. Shit? Just my opinion.

We need better than both Gnanduillet and Madine if we're to make any headway in league 1. I don't understand why there is always such a clamour for former players like Tilt and Gnando, there are a ton of players out there and a sizeable portion of them are better than what we had. Some were wanting Spearing back at the start of the season........until we signed Dougall who is significantly better.
Let's cast our net a little wider than players we've already had. I'm not saying Gnanduillet wouldn't improve us, what I'm saying is that there is likely a player out there who would improve us more than he would.

A no from me
I cannot remember any assists from him last season, so if we cannot whip in accurate crosses, his contribution is almost non existent in an attacking sense.

He's better than what we've got Madine and Yates don't score enough goals.
19 league games played and they've scored 8 goals between them, Gnado had eleven by now last season.
I bet Madine would kill for the kind of regular service Gonads got though.

No chance nowhere near the same type of player you could put 100 balls into the box by Feeney and Gnado would win 2 to 1 if not more in the goal chart.
Madine is not a number 9 and needs someone with him Gnado doesn't and Yates at 5ft 9 can't play that role either.
