Armand back?

A team that doesn't create many chances can't afford to fluff them. Out of G, M and Y I'd fancy Gnand to score a higher % of chances.

No fee.

Where else are you going to get someone for free?

If he was as good as some on here seem to think, he would be in the championship already and if not we wouldn’t get a sniff. He had 2 decent seasons for us and 2 very mediocre ones. The rest of his career has passed virtually unnoticed. Not needed here, thanks but no thanks.

Disagree nothing wrong with being a third division footballer and he's still better at putting it in the net than the two we have here.
If it's not him we definitely need another striker.

We definitely need someone, but definitely not him. His senior total is 62 goals in 279 appearances in his first 2 season spell with us he scored 7 in 45. Feeney made him look good, we no longer have Feeney. Nuff said

We have Hamilton who is quicker. 😁

With both the salary and squad caps now applicable on L1 we would have little chance of signing him, even if NC wanted him

He's better than what we've got Madine and Yates don't score enough goals.
19 league games played and they've scored 8 goals between them, Gnado had eleven by now last season.
Yes and we have got rid of the deadwood and brought in better players, supposedly.
So he should get more service? and more goals.

Maybe maybe not.
He can play as a loan striker unlike Madine and Yates in a 3 that NC loves to keep sticking with in this league.
If we'd kept Gnado the 19 league goals that have been scored would be more because he gives you options we don't have any.

I've seen several posts recently which have expressed concern (quite rightly in my view) that we are short of cover in the CF position. As someone has said, he is already proven at this level, so I'm another vote for having him back if it is possible. Yes he wanted to leave, but he seems to have discovered the grass isn't always greener elsewhere. Lesson learned perhaps? If our crosses continue to improve, he would certainly make an impact in my opinion.
Edit - his defending at set pieces is better than any of the current team when coming back to defend corners in particular, from which we have conceded against the run of play several times.
I'm a 'no' but your edit para is spot on.

How does it work with EU players now? Do they need work permits? The old system made it difficult for players to come to this country unless they were of top flight or maybe Championship level so we might no longer be in the market for such players at our level.

Unless they're regular internationals, presumably the rules for non EU players now apply.
