Away support for forthcoming fixture at Dumpdale

Last Sunday, Welsh Phil submitted a somewhat devisive and confrontational post relating to what type of fan should be prioritised for the reduced allocation at Dumpdale. I have to say, that all things considered, I wholeheartedly agree with him, albeit I appreciate that it may upset some longstanding and loyal fans.

The simple fact is, that due to the vindictive nature of Petty Ridsdale, we have been given a paltry 2,000 tickets, this being 200 less than we gave them in a stadium barely two thirds the capacity of theirs. The Liverpool legend Kop at Dumpdale holds approximately 5,900 and we have basically been given a third of it!

In order to try and create some kind of atmosphere amongst the Nobbers, Ridsdale has then made it possible for them to re-allocate to the adjacent half of the Kop. I assume that there will be up to 3,000 lively Lillyshoites alongside us. It is therefore incumbent upon all 2,000 Seasiders in attendance to be loud and proud, in order to provide the maximum vocal backing possible to our team.

Anyone attempting to obtain an away ticket for this fixture should ask themselves, will they be going there as a passive spectator or a vocal supporter and which one will best benefit the team on the night?

At the end of the day it is each individuals choice to attend (if they can get a ticket) but if you are there on the evening, be loud and proud and show that lot what true supporters are!

So the club should do a football chant decibel test to ensure the louder fans get the nod.

2000 Brian Blessed's 😯

Just like us in the north anyway.

No chance !! Give 2000 tickets to northies and they’ll all be there with cookery baskets handing out onion bhajis , pork pies and fairy cakes that they’ve baked the day before 😯

I do agree actually, it’ll be so infuriating on the night if half our crowd are just part of the bobble hat brigade sat down in silence cos let’s be honest, the nobbers are gonna be up for it, they’ll want revenge and will want to drown us out noise wise after we totally out sang them at our ground. Therefore we need our 2000 to be twice as loud as we are at home games, get us north standers in there to get behind the lads and give a good account of ourselves from the stands. We don’t need the quiet ones there for this game I’m afraid

For years Blackpool has been in turmoil due to the Oystons .Fan has turned on fan and some even going to the cod heads ,but the North stand are not some kind of elite supporter . I was in the North till we were all shifted to the South and this did not make me a second class fan . What it did was give me a good view of the game and better wind shelter.
The North is full of younger to middle aged fans who in general do sing more , but do not start making out your special, YOUR NOT. Two thirds of the pool fans are over 50 if you look around the whole ground . This makes them the majority of todays support . Then you have a few hundred in the family stand that bring their kids . These being more important for the future of Blackpool football club then anyone who can sing.
We then have the south stand , who may be not as loud as the North ,but do a fair bit of singing , can be heard better by the away support and when it comes to a bit of confrontation with the away support are not a hundred meters away singing " they'll never see us running ".
So ,if you want to feel important to B.F.C. , get behind the team rather then insulting the real important pool fans.

The games not till bloody April we need to stop wanging on about it.

As to who goes to the game that's up to the club but there's no chance the club will discriminate against anyone and in all my years at football I've never heard of any club doing it because your a singer or not it would make us look like a right bunch of idiots if we where to put restrictions on ticket sales.

From this comment ,you must be under 10 years old , so you won't get a ticket unless your voice has broken.

You’ve been watching too much X factor on Saturday nights, perhaps you should get out more🤣🤣

I haven't been to an away game for three years as can't be in an area where all fans stand as have a back problem and would be bed bound for days if had to stand for a game I'm 66 sit in the south but still sing loud n proud don't think anyone sitting doesn't sing
Lofty, you and I both have problems standing, but dont expect any sympathy for the look at me brigade, 'I'm young , fit , chant (I wont call it singing) and a hard man and should therefore get a ticket'. despite my previous post of bobble hat, flask and blanket at the ready, I wont be there either due to my knees. Ok walking on the flat, but, at 74 now struggle a bit up stairs and standing for any length of time.

I take comfort from the fact that one day some of those who decry people such as you and I, for not being able to stand for any length of time, will one day have the same problems, if they survive, and will be treated in the same way by the youngsters of their time.

It's called Karma.

Luckily the way the club will likely do it will be st holders who have been to x amount to away games get first priority.

So many of the usual away followers should get to go who have been great all season.

If we are deciding to restrict this to our the choir section, then my only suggestion would be that everyone who does go promises not to sing the Liverpool Dirge (Allez, Allez).

And that everyone gets their collective heads together to agree upon a modern, unique and interesting portfolio of chants, that reflect the values of all Blackpool Fans (including some ‘up-tempo’ numbers, which despite several requests we still haven’t seen…. (I would recommend a Latin American beat).

Last thing we want on the night is a bunch of over zealous stone island kids on their first Nobbers away game embarrassing the club.

So what do you want then? Get them all from the west to all sit down and make fuck all atmosphere. That would be more embarrassing.
The club will do what is the most fair way of doing it.
On the data base the longest season ticket holders, number of away games etc.
Its about rewarding loyalty not who sings the loudest in a baseball cap.
Oh and for the record I’ll lose out on the away games having only done one so far so doubt very much I’d get one.
Not the end of the world I’ll be at Blackburn on the Saturday so not all is lost.

Ill be surprised if I don't qualify despite only doing 5 away games. Wonder if they'll let me take my flask.

It's a piss take when there's going to be loads of empty seats in the home ends. The difference is when we played them at home we gave them every seat we could. Next season I'd restrict them to a couple of blocks in the East and give our own fans half of it.

As an over 50 Uber fan I will doubtless get a ticket. I intend to take it
Woe betide any wannebe who stands up in front to me or claps too loudly.
I have no objection to a rapturous round of applause if we score a goal, but other than that I would like to concentrate on the game

And there lies the problem, although I imagine you are being tongue in cheek some won't be.

Totally agree. If we don't give them the minimum allocation next season (i think 8%) like they have, then someone needs shooting.
They got 2,200 in a 16k stadium. Compared to 2,000 in a 25k library. We should give them the same minimum percetage, which i work out as roughly 1,300.

You’ve inspired me to be creative, BFC

This can be called Gary’s song, or Jerry’s song or even Shayne’s song

Small and wan and young and lovely
The boy from Ipachertsey goes dribbling
And when he passes, each time he passes
The crowd Goes "A-a-a-h" shit

When he runs he’s like a samba
That swings so cool and sways so gentle
But when he passes, each time he passes
The crowd goes "A-a-a-h" shit

Oh, but I watch him so sadly
How can I tell him pass to me
Yes, I’d score from his passes gladly
But each day as he plays by the sea
He looks straight ahead, not at me

Small and wan and young and lovely
The boy from Ipachertsey goes dribbling
And when he passes, I smile, but he
Doesn't see. Just doesn't see me
No, he just doesn't

The sheer arrogance of you telling fans what they should do if attending the game, is mind blowing!

Just sums us how thick PNE are really. What club turns it's back on 4000 X £30 or whatever the price is? There ls not a chance they'll fill the home ends and the attendance will end up being around 17k. They only ever sell out against Liverpool and around 5000 Liverpool fans in the home ends.

This is a good point! Tickets should only go to Seniors and under 18’s - if they are going to cut the allocation, then we should cut their income stream from the game as much as possible so put that in your pipe (crack/rough shag) and smoke it Nobbers!

They'll probably base it off away games attended (season ticket holders who have attended x+ away games = priority) , our away support this year has been immense so the regulars who'll snap us the tickets shouldn't have an issue creating an atmosphere.

Show the Nobbers how to do it properly anyway, they were shite down here.

Mental health act, says anyone who leaves Lancashire and moves to ** Yorkshire is not to be allowed out
How politically correct of you.

Rich coming from someone that made a conscious decision to live in Preston. Have you got a nice little bed sit overlooking the prestigious bus station?

You'll be surprised how many of the regular away travellers don't have season tickets.

Season tickets pay the overheads. Supporters attending away games, no doubt appreciated by the manager and players do not.

I‘ll be well pissed off they give it to supporters who have attended the most away games, it’s not like every Season Ticket holder can afford to go to every away game!
