I've drank in there, nice little island.Three of us going, with a pint in the Piel Island pub being the first stop.
Good point DSOTL. I was thinking of starting out from Blackpool at 10.00am. Hit the A590 at about 10.30am and Barrow at 11.30.We are. Heading off before Cartmel traffic
You could be a bit optimistic with those times! We plan to be settled in before 11Good point DSOTL. I was thinking of starting out from Blackpool at 10.00am. Hit the A590 at about 10.30am and Barrow at 11.30.
Not the easiest to get to! You might have to settle for The Conical at the start of Roe Is Rd.Three of us going, with a pint in the Piel Island pub being the first stop.
Only been to ( through) Barrow once to play a team called Barrow Hoopworks in the first round of the Lancashire Sunday Cup inDebating going. Want to relive my youth when I was a rising football star playing at the likes of Holker Street.
Holker Old Boys?Debating going. Want to relive my youth when I was a rising football star playing at the likes of Holker Street.
Choose your route carefully Fatboy to avoid the A590 as it’s Cartmel RacesI’m going , I don’t know what time I’m setting off yet though, I imagine it will be around 12 ish.
Although why Cartmell races should cause problems on a road running from Tavistock to Blackwater is anyone's guess.Choose your route carefully Fatboy to avoid the A390 as it’s Cartmel Races
Yes, down to Roe Island and get the ferry - every 10 minutes. At least, that's my understanding. Not the easiest to get to! You might have to settle for The Conical at the start of Roe Is Rd.
The Queens at Biggar Village on Walney Is is quite pleasant. I've only been in once when early for an appointment, thought I'd grab an orange juice and a sandwich. This was at 12.30 and I was met with 'I'll see if chef is still here, I think he might have gone home'. Pork scratchings it was then.
oh bollox thanks 66 mean't the A590Although why Cartmell races should cause problems on a road running from Tavistock to Blackwater is anyone's guess.
Enquired myself, you have to go to ticket office no cash accepted at turnstiles.Surely they’ll have a cash turnstile open!
They sent mine via e-mail and suggested I keep an eye on my spam box. However, it came through the proper in-box.I've ordered mine via the barrow website (for Blackpool fans).. I'm hoping I'll get tickets through the post? Ordered well over a week ago now
No. Blackpool Mechanics. It was a classic 0-0 draw. I bet the Barrow stadium has come on a long way since they progressed into the football league.Holker Old Boys?
Are they expecting a large Blackpool contingent?BREAKING.....
I've just been on the phone to Barrow ticket office - a very helpful lady. She advised me to buy e-tickets whilst on the phone because the game is proving very popular.
I didn't ask. Perhaps she meant that the ticket office could be very busy on Saturday. Are they expecting a large Blackpool contingent?
Watch out for TMF mateYou could be a bit optimistic with those times! We plan to be settled in before 11

Their away allocation is 650 (that would be a league match) according to their website so assume we won’t get more than that.Surely Barrow can give us more? They won’t sell out. More money for them. No?
