Sheffield crown court scheduled for five days.
Seconds out...Sheffield crown court scheduled for five days.
Could be the third Sheffield relegation this season with this one 'going down' tooSeconds out...
I would be surprised, if found guilty, if he doesn’t get sent down. His previous is atrocious.Don't be totally surprised if he gets sent down if he gets found guilty, his form doesn't make pretty reading.
That will be a no if anyone on the jury is fro Fleetwood (watched the match that is)The jury was sworn in earlier. Amongst the questions they had to clear was whether they had watched the match or supported either of the teams!
I’m sure there was eye witnesses reported at the time as he ran down the tunnel past players and pushed stendelHe may get off if there aren’t any actual eye witnesses. The CCTV cameras don’t seem to have recorded the actual incident. JB will claim it was an accident even if seen. Not proven beyond reasonable doubt etc.
Probably gone to ground. Barton seems confident, so the witness might have been dealt with.I’m sure there was eye witnesses reported at the time as he ran down the tunnel past players and pushed stendel
I suggest you watch again or go to specsavers, yes Will ( nice lad, don’t know why you have to be rude about him) was doing his job, but pilley did not come out of the ground or get in the car with joey.Hilarious when Pilley and the ginger tea boy rushed that daft bellend out of Oakwell like they were running from the OCG in Line Of Duty !!!!!!
Think it was more a knock from behind as he ran past rather than a direct push. The only Fleetwood witness was the physio and he backed Joey up on this as wellHe has an excellent defence barrister representing him.
In addition despite his record this is a push from behind in a tunnel allegedly that caused the injuries.
We are not talking a kick punch or headbutt which would make it very different
The Fleetwood physio backed Barton up ??? Come on ..... For a time there he could behave however he wanted and they all rallied round until it started to cost money. Horrible thug.Think it was more a knock from behind as he ran past rather than a direct push. The only Fleetwood witness was the physio and he backed Joey up on this as well

Yes, the current jury has been dismissed. I cannot quite understand how German to English translation over a Zoom link is so difficult though.Case adjourned after difficulties with the video link from Germany, anew date will be set when Stendell can get over in person.
It's not the German; it's the Scouse to English which is the problem.Yes, the current jury has been dismissed. I cannot quite understand how German to English translation over a Zoom link is so difficult though.
Police and CPSIs this a private prosecution or has it been instigated by the CPS?
He's just a bell end.I still don’t understand the hatred towards Barton .
He’s made mistakes . Not the only one in this world .
Agree. Unless I’m missing something. Like a few key witnessesFrom the description above, I'm surprised it's got to court.
Cost him £25,000 - which is more than me and you [more than anybody else at all I think].He is a bell end, but he was anti Oyston and spoke out when others wouldn't. Gives him some kudos with me.
Totally agree, if there were no witnesses and even Stendl didn't see who pushed him, it seems like a massive waste of time and money. Not a cat in hells chance of any conviction unless there were any witnesses or CCTV evidence and if there was neither, it should never have even got to court!
Not a bad forecast Waddington, 5 months ago.On some old thread on here, many months ago, I did say that this was likely to be a Not Guilty. the only real evidence against him is that nobody likes him; and that is not going to be enough-
but he shook his hand very firmly in the season before - won't that be enough? - not really. But Stendel knew that somebody had pushed him, and JB was quite close by - won't that be enough? not really. But JB went into the tunnel after Stendel went in - doesn't that prove it? Prove what?
In the unlikely event of being found Guilty he will probably get no more than some hours of community service, but it now already looks far more likely that British justice will prevail and JB will leave the hearing as an innocent man without a stain on his character.
