I’ve been looking for a clip of that for about 15 years thank you
Shots of Her Maj looking bored put of her tree.I know you said regardless of importance, but Mortenson’s free kick at Wembley must be up there as one of the best goals ever. Such a powerful strike right into the top corner. Not sure two keepers would have kept it out.
3:30 at this link.
Having been subjected to a second half mauling by Sunderland a right footed Blackpool forward shields a long ball out of defence against the attention of two defenders. He turns and fires in a curling effort with his left foot, which beats one of the country's top keepers to win the match.Always the ghosts backheel. Never understood why Walshies goal got goal of season, wouldn’t even make a shortlist these days.
Was that at home and kicking towards the kop?Mike Sheron scored a cracker at Hillsborough in LDV semi-final.
The one for me was a Colin Morris goal from a restart where he was the only Blackpool to touch the ball. He nicked the ball off one of their players in the centre-circle, beat a couple then chipped the keeper from about 25 yards. Please someone tell me I wasn't dreaming.
Because there were very few games televised.Always the ghosts backheel. Never understood why Walshies goal got goal of season, wouldn’t even make a shortlist these days.
Bristol Rovers I think. We won 4-2.Alex Dyer at Bloomfield long run then curled into far post no idea who against loved it
It was at home but kicking towards south iirc. But I might have dreamt in.Was that at home and kicking towards the kop?
One that always sticks in mind was John Deary at Maine Road (mid 80’s)
FA Cup replay. An absolute screamer.
I was behind the South goal. I can still remember the thudding sound of the ball hitting the post on it's way into the net. Whilst jumping for joy I looked at the prostrate Sunderland goalie Montgomery who had a look of utter dejection on his face.Marvelous times !️For me Mickey Walsh v Sunderland. I am pretty sure there will have been better, but end to end in no time and I was there, just level with the goal in the old scratching shed.
Yes. The goal itself was the culmination of a fantastic end to end game.I was behind the South goal. I can still remember the thudding sound of the ball hitting the post on it's way into the net. Yes, that Hockaday goal was my favourite, an absolute belter in a 5-2 win!!!The Suddick wonder goal is my favourite. Dunno how he did it keeping the ball off the ground for 40 yards before smashing in a volley. Amazing ! Second would be Hockaday v Swindon at home late 70’s some mazy running and deft flicks and and cracker of a shot into the top corner. It was better than Walsh’s goal of the season in 74/75.️
This must have been done before but I don't recall. What do you think is the best Blackpool goal ever scored? Regardless of the importance of it, or level it was at, just the best goal?
It's hard to remember stuff isn't it?! Especially on a Monday morning in June.
I'm dragging up:
Walsh GotS
Vardy v Wolves
The 26 pass goal by Dalglish under Macca
Sinclair at Stoke
A screamer by Simmo? Can't remember the detail.
Yes Luton. I can't find it either, and it's a goal that should be available to view! Maybe we should have a prize for the person who locates it and/or uploads it?Who was the 26 pass goal against please anyone? Was it Luton? It was on YouTube but can’t find it.
I was there, Trev was excellent. The game after Stoke.Another goal that many would not have seen was Tricky Trev's goal at Brighton (Goldstone Ground) in a midweek game. I am sure that my mind is not playing tricks with me, but he scored straight from our kick off after conceding. He dribbled it from half way line / wide down the wing, cut inside and slotted home.

We picked up a stray American in a boozer beforehand and got him in. He’d never experienced anything like it, nor probably ever shallMartin Bullocks Goalden goal at Hudds in the LDV.
The away end went mental, I swear the guy next to me was having a heart attack. What a moment.
Agree with all that have been suggested but the minute I read this thread, this was my answer
