I saw Def Leppard (On through the night Tour) supported by Wytchfinder and a little Birmingham band called Dimondhead........for £2.00 in 1980
About 4 months later they played the local Odeon supported by Magnum and the tickets were £4.00
A year later (High & Dry Tour) the greedy barstewards charged £6....and had Girlschool as support
Last time I saw them was in 2018 and they were supported by Cheap Trick.......£55 a ticket

I used to go and watch Ruby Turner do a pug gig most weeks on a Thursday for 50p entrance fee.

The Who at the Valley Charlton, what a day, Lou Reed, Humble Pie, Bad Company etc. first time I ever spoke to Lady Levi!! BTW still got the Stones at Knebworth 76 programme! Could be a good time for digging out music memorabilia while we’re on lockdown👍

Can't swear to it but I think Slade at the Mecca in 1972 was £1.50.

But the best value I've done was a coach load of us from the Boars Head in the early seventies to Wembley to see England play. Coach, match ticket and crates of booze of the coach all for £3 each.

I saw noel gallagher plus simple minds for 18 quid a couple of years ago in Scotland for BBC biggest weekend..... Thought that was a bit of a bargain

Thats where you met your wife?

Elton John, The Beach Boys, The Eagles, Rufus (featuring Chaka Khan), Joe Walsh, Stackridge.

Wembley Stadium...1975.....£3.50

Membranes recently was about £7 which is absurd cos they're incredible and it's 2020.

I once saw a band in a pub in Chorley for nothing who were absolutely incredible tho. Load of old blokes playing jazz but doing mad Avant Garde spacey stuff which was completely unexpected and incredible. Especially as it was Sunday lunchtime.

Status Quo at the Winter Gardens - had seen them about 5 times in 2 years by then and they were on in town - had been for a drink in the Criterion and making our way to the Grapes when mate said “Shall we pop in?” walked into the Gardens and said to the bloke on the door “just been for a slash mate” he opened the door and just let us in - made our way up to the Circle - it wasn’t a sell out! - watched about 5 numbers then left and carried on to the Grapes - might well have been the Rockin All Over The World tour.

Oi 20s. Didn't we see Gary Glitter at the Norbreck in the late 70's for £1?
Saw Human League for free while enjoying a weekend in Lisbon.

We certainly did but can't remember the price.
Also saw Slade there too remember. Had some fun on the way home that night! 😉 😁

I would be guessing but not more than a few shillings to see Bill Haley and Chas MacDevitt along with Nancy Whiskey in London in my student days, on reflection they could have been two separate events.
The S and G in Central Park cost nowt.

Indeed it was a beat up coach Levi Al, the $hit tip even broke down on the M6 and left most of us stranded!
Remember the coach pulled up at Chazs’ and he’d slept in and his old man came to bedroom window in his string vest and shouting “he’s on his way!” What amuses me though is how any of us were sensible enough to even hire a coach!! as we were all into something or other at the time.🤣🤪

Dennis Delight ! at the Pear Tree Bamber Bridge and only because it was free.....

Otherwise Slade 1974 at the Opera House and it was about £2.50 i think 🎸 🎸

Dylan at Wembley Stadium in 1984 was £11 I think. UB40 and Santana were also on the bill. Dylan had Ian McLagan from The Faces and Mick Taylor from The Stones in his band. Crissie Hynde, Van Morrison and Eric Clapton all came on as special guests.

Got lucky dip tickets for the Rolling Stones at Old Trafford in 2018 for £33 which at the time I thought was brilliant, as I had missed out on release day by being a lazy sod 😆

Tickets for The Reflectors (Arcade Fire) at The Winter Gardens in 2013 were £20 (+booking fee) which was a cheap a concert as I can recall..... Arcade Fire 6 months after that played at Castlefield Bowl in Manchester & the cheapest ticket was £70+ fees

Queen at the Arts Ball, Winter Gardens 1st March 1974 just before they became really big.. Think I paid £2

The Jam and the Police both £1(1980 /81) at Deeside Leisure centre - You just walked up to the Fire Door and gave the bouncer guarding it a quid and you were in.

Strange set up - the concerts were on the Ice Rink which was covered in rubber matting(Ice was still there) From the knee's up you were roasting in the crush. From the knee's down you were freezing cold - Those were the days

Used to go see Dire Straits for 75p a time Friday nights in a London pub before they's signed/recorded/released anything - watched greatness evolving.

Need to say this quietly... Saw U2 for free once. Don't know what I was thinking but did I mention it was free 🤣

Actually to be fair whilst it's not my kind of music and Bono is a ginormous bellshaft, the overall production was very impressive.
