I rarely venture into the town centre. Can anyone recommend good places to eat on a Thursday night?
All types of cuisine considered.
Person who I’m taking likes plain food like pie n mash 😜 but eats all sorts.
Any help advice gratefully received.

Also which are the best real ale places please? Stanley arms and the one on topping street ?

Twisted Indian on Clifton St is off the scale IMO. Id recommend the mixed grill to share, its divine 😋

May as well see this thread rather than rehash it all.

Not many to choose from, mandarin, sapori and la fontana. There are others but not tried them. The Italian in cleveleys is a bit overated in my opinion.

Just. had a look at the menu for Twisted and I was shocked how expensive it is. I would raise an eyebrow if the cost was that here in Cambridge where prices are high end, the menu looks ununspiring too.

Love miller and Carter 22 of us going there soon for daughters birthday
Been three times and honestly I’ve never had what I would describe as an excellent meal, in fact the last time I couldn’t eat my steak it was so tough. When the waitress asked if everything was ok, I pointed out that I’d left most of the steak because it was too tough. I didn’t get really sorry about that, I’ll tell the chef, but they did knock it off the enormous bill at the end.

Overrated and over priced imo.

Enormous Bill? Was it a Pelican Steak?
