Quite like that line up. KaiKai dropped for Mitchell is probably fair.
unlucky for Gabriel but maybe Critch feels he needs the protection of Turts with Hamilton only just back?
 
Fairly happy with that side, solid at the back whilst having enough going forward with a good balance to cause them problems.

Husband has done well lately, Thorniley looked a bit dodge Tuesday, we are susceptible to the ball over the top as we saw against Crewe as our two central defenders lack pace.
 
I watched the training video from mid-week and was convinced Gary The Wimp would have been back in the squad.
It's time he took a couple of painkillers and got back on the pitch.
 
It's another strange selection. I thought Dougall might come in for Stewart. Madine mustn't be fit if he can't make the bench. I was thinking 2-1 to Pool, but that's from the heart not the head.
 
This line up excites me, can’t wait to see how this works with Mitchell and CJ out wide with a solid base in Virtue and Stewart.

This balance could be perfect for us.

So u definitely say 4-4-2 , old fashioned wingers system, front two need service thou , crosses , I think mitchell is better further forward
 
Still quite an attacking line up with the changes. And good options on the bench.
Surely got to come good today.
 
I personally wouldn't play Virtue in favour of any of our other midfielders if fit. I think he is a nothing mid fielder , he does nothing well but as he scored last week I can see why he kept his place. Watch him today to me he shirks action.,but then I may be wrong UTMP
 
Turton behind CJ makes some sense, bit I'd have kept Gabriel in. I do want to see more of Embleton too.

I really hope you're right but personally I think its a massive gamble to drop both full backs...in fact I just think its plain wrong...if we lose this then questions must be asked about the tinkerman

I can see the case for Garbutt and Gabriel being rested as part of Critch's rotation policy. Ward might have picked up a knock as he's not even on the bench. Kaikai is more of a diplomatic "resting" -- perhaps more mental than physical.

I'd like to see what Embleton can do with more time. Hopefully today will be the day when he imposes himself on the game.

So are u saying Gabriel and Cj can’t plsy together, just in case they bom on to far forward , Becasue Gabriel does give the better attacking opinion dosnt he in the full back position

Not necessarily. I just understand the logic, especially with CJ returning from injury.
 
Let's hope for a dominant display with good passing, lots of chances and lots of goals 👍
