Blackpool v Bournemouth Official Matchday Thread 12.02.21

@matt_scrafton37 - Oh my days. What a goal that is.

Bowler gives Blackpool the lead out of absolutely nothing, thundering the ball into the top corner from range. Keeper had no chance.

Why waste a bench position on Robson when Dougal is on there.

With Sterling at LB, James effectively covers the entire back 4, and with Connolly on the pitch you've got extra cover if you need it, in which case Casey is largely redundant.

With Stewart playing his first game for a while, you have to think there are questions about his ability to last the 90, in which case having Dougall as the only CM cover seems a bit of a risk.

It's a good game of football this.

Bournemouth are a good team. I write like their slow, slow, slow, rapid!. We will need to keep our wits about us in the second half.

As for us.

We always seem to take our time working out the opposition. It might be because we are playing some good teams, but once we get the measure of them, we are generally able to match them well.

No one is having a bad game; we could just do with getting the front two more into it.

Connolly has been really good.

Come on Blackpool!

good half of football. Bournemouth seemingly dont like being asked to play against teams that are prepared to play against them. hopefully we can step up gear in the second half.

another absolutly shite ref. no way a penalty, not even fu**ing close, the dive was so dramatic it could have won an award at the birley street theatre. fuck knows why the ref penalised madine when he was through. the ball theat went out of play which the liner missed as well wasnt just marginally out play it was a good two feet.
